A great location quiet but close to town. While they don’t serve food it has a well equipped guest kitchen so we cooked in most meals. The host Johan and staff were very helpful. We used the wood fired pizza oven and had some great home cooked pizza. We would happily stay there again when we are in the area.

I went to Halmstads Gardshotell for seven weeks with my husband. This place can only be described as an oasis in a beautiful surroundings. We got 💯 service to all our needs, its clean and extremely friendly people that run the place. The owners are obviously very dedicated people and professional and want you to feel comfortable and welcome. I will always choose Gards hotell in Halmstad and recommend it to anyone who wants to stay there. Thanks for making my recovery ❤️‍🩹 so much easier. Best regards from Iceland 🇮🇸

This place is a quaint little slice of peace in the everyday hustle and bustle of life. The owner and staff made it an extraordinary place to stay. They make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. A definite for me whenever I am in Halmstad again.

What an amazing hotel. Best beds ever, bbq and terrace. Also get an kitchen for free use. Agnes were an super Nice host. Sure be back. A/C on room and not far from city center. Made our trip amazing. Super clean and well taken care of place. So quiet and comfy that its almost worth going to Halmstad to Get chance to stay there.

The Gardshotell is a very quaint spot, perfect for families, or intimate quiet time with your partner.

I work with a Contracting Company and we have sent 3 teams in country since 2020, all oh which have stayed at this hotel. The employees have stayed from 2 weeks up to 6 months. For most 95% it was perfect, for some it was pretty ok given the small amount of options in the area.

Johan and his family have been very accommodating, nice, thoughtful and gracious hosts. We have sent leadership in country and he has provided small tours of Halmstad, organized monthly events for our team, provided additional amenities to help the team have a more relaxing stay.

The location is perfect, in my opinion, to downtown and to the beach.

I can't say enough about how much we appreciate his hospitality. Continue the great work Johan, we appreciate you.

I don’t recommend this place. If staying in Halmstad there are so many other better options in the city center. The rooms are small, poorly decorated. The owner is rude and difficult. He monitors your energy consumption and will ask for you to turn your electrical items off to conserve energy. Lol what kind of hotel does this? Also, they say they’re pet friendly, but when asked was told no pets. Avoid this place

Quaint & charming hotel with wonderful amenities. It's definitely not a big hotel chain but that's its charm. You feel as if your visiting family or a close family friend. Fashionably decorated rooms. You can cook a great meal in one of the plush apartments or enjoy a group meal in the dinning room. Restaurants and shopping with in walking or biking distance. Really enjoyed my stay.
