Karatu Simba Lodge in Karatu

The place was very nice, with great views and very good food. The best was the service at the restaurant. Dani was always helpful and ensuring we had a very good experience. We really enjoyed our stay.
The only slight “con” was that the room was slightly cold and they didn’t have additional blankets.

We stayed here 2 nights during our safari and the staff we so welcoming, the food was lovely and everything was so clean. We stayed up late whilst having a drink and Danny the barman was the best. Will definitely stay here again

We spent part of our honeymoon at this lodge and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lovely food, service and accommodation! We enjoyed the games they had available on the tables to spend some time relaxing and playing after our busy day out on safari. They’ve just had a gorgeous pool renovation with fire pit and it is incredible. Thank you.

A very lovely hotel in a beautiful setting! The staff were all sooo friendly and helpful, it was wonderful. The kitchen did a brilliant job and it was always with a smile, so nice in this rushed world of ours! A special thanks to Danny our waiter who gave me the recipe for the amazing naan bread they make there

It’s the dry cold season in Tanzania, and this high altitude partial tent was a concern for me. The friendly helpful staff did everything to keep us warm and I had a wonderful experience. After checking in, we headed to the bar and warmed up with a Simora Special, its hot chocolate with Amarula (an African liqueur). Created by their bartender: Simora. You must try one. It’s the perfect warming touch. (thanks Simora!!!!) Then they got the space heaters going in the dining area. They provided blankets to stay cozy while eating farm fresh produce with dinner. The food is fantastic with a nice variety at the buffet. Then when we got back to our tent, there were hot water bottles in our beds. I really really really don’t like the cold, and all the little details made it a pleasant and enjoyable stay. I slept so well.

Well what can I say it was a beautiful hotel, the staff were fantastic expecially Hellen and Abel my husband was a little unwell for few days and they went out there was to make sure he was ok, all staff couldn't do enough for you, would definitely recommend this hotel, lovely food great surroundings right on edge of the forest, rooms were spotless massive bathroom Well stocked, plenty of fresh water delivered everyday, really can't recommend this hotel enough

We stayed one night at Simba Lodge on our 9 day safari. This was the first camp experience where we needed flashlights and escort after dark. The tent was clean, comfortable and the bed was prepared for us before the evening. They gave us hot water bottles in the bed in case it got very cold. Food was very good both for dinner and breakfast, nice ambience in the common area. Pool has an awesome view.

We arrived at the Lodge after our first safari day just in time for a swim in the magnificent pool. Our lodges were very comfortable and spacious with everything we needed, and had great views of the surrounding countryside. A hairdryer was available on request. Dinner and breakfast were very good with choices and the staff were friendly and attentive. The temperature dropped after sunset and we were thankful for the blanket and hot water bottles that were waiting for us. A very memorable stay.
