Manyara Wildlife Safari Camp in Mto wa Mbu

A fantastic, intimate spot for a safari kickoff! We loved the "local" feel and the home-cooked food was a highlight. The lodge is rustic but comfortable—the showers were excellent. It’s very peaceful and ideally located for Lake Manyara.

​Don't expect a crystal-blue lake view (it’s more of a natural brown), and definitely bring your bug spray since you're in the heart of the wilderness. They do provide spray in the rooms, though! Highly recommend for travelers who want a peaceful, authentic experience.

We stayed here while our safari and were given a very friendly welcome. The staff were very friendly, the food was incredibly tasty (extra vegetarian options for us) the accommodation was basic but clean and the view of the lake from the pool was very nice. All in all a lovely place to stay during our safari.

It felt like a crime to only stay here for one night during our safari, the location is stunning, we were told we had the best room, maybe because it was our honeymoon but the view from room was amazing with an outdoor shower overlooking the lake. The pool area was lovely for an hour to catch the last of the sun after a day of safari/travel. Food was a set menu and was really good and catered for dietary requirements, just checking that it’s mentioned again when checking in. There was an acrobatic group who did a performance as well and has us up dancing at the end, we had a lovely stay.

we stayed here recently for 2 nights. We loved it - the welcome was wonderful. The food was great. We were so very well looked after - (special mention for Pendo who was kind and attentive).The views of the lake amazing.
On both nights we were there they had acrobats performing - which was lots of fun.

The hotel was in a lovely position over looking Lake Manyara. The tent room we had was at the end of the row of accomodaiton and was a very nice room. The room had good facilities and it was a lovely place to sit on the balcony and watch the herds of cows being taken for a drink. The staff were lovely and the meals provided were incredible. An amazing hotel.

We had a lovely time here, staying in room KASUKU which is upstairs so therefore had a great view over the lake. There is a very nice pool which was an excellent spot to view the spectacular sunset. The lodge is surrounded by beautiful flowers and well maintained. The meals were served at the table and of a high quality. We had an acrobatics display in the evening which was good fun.

Beautiful lodge with lovely views Food was lovely and staff were very accommodating. We only stayed here one night but no complaints from us. Cats and the kittens were a added bonus very close to the game drives so ideal for this Beds very compfy.

We enjoyed our 2 days in this Lodge. The service team is very friendly, helpful and full of joy of life. The bed was very large and the view to the lake is so beautiful. Food was always good (breakfast & dinner) Thanks for the small attentions dor our honeymoon :)

After a wonderful day at Lake Manyara - close 2nd to the crater, we stayed at the Manyara Lakeview Oasis lodge. It was our last night on safari and we had done a full diversity of lodging accommodations during our 12 days. This was a wonderful place with awesome views of the Lake, a nice pool, firepits. We had a delicious dinner and breakfast in their dining room and enjoyed the very nice people there to serve us. The cabins were comfortable with everything we needed like home. We enjoyed it. We called for someone to accompany us after dark if we were walking on the paths to the main area. There are animals out there but we did not see nor hear them at night. They brought in entertainment - local gymnasts that certainly entertained us.
