Kathalee Beach Resort Koh Lipe

Away from the crowd of pattaya and the noises of the walking street is this gem of a hotel. Located in one of the most beautiful and peaceful areas of the island, the hotel rises from the ocean upon the hill stops. The views are stunning and picture worthy. The water at the beach is super clear, an emerald green with soft sand. The staff at the hotel are like a family; kind and offer service from the heart. The manager addresses any issues you have and makes you feel appreciated and at ease. In room massages are a plus and of course breakfast in the pool is instagram worthy :-) They also allow you to use the modern gym at the sister hotel. Highly recommend this hotel. It is more like an 5 star hotel: nightly turn down and breakfast every morning delivered to you. Already excited to return. We spent Christmas in one of the pool villas and it was the best. The only regret is that I didnt book it for longer. It is pricey but it’s SO worth it! The staff is so attentitive, each and every person working at the resort was nice, friendly & helpful. Food is exceptional! We are vegans and they offered plenty of options for us. Breakfast…oh my god. Huge! And they bring it to your room, we had floating breakfast in a pool. The private beach is beautiful & cozy. They offer snorkeling gear and kayaks for customers for free. The restaurant food is so good too. We had the best time here, we were sad to leave. Will definitely book this place again when we’re in Thailand again, it’s a must. Thank You SO much! 🖤

The accomodation is in separate cabins built into the hillside connected by steps. The cabins are lovely with an enormous bed, en suite shower room and a single bed/settee. Each has its own large balcony with hammock, dining table and bench to lounge on. The beach is at the bottom of the steps with the restaurant one level up. The food and service was fabulous. Ask hotel to arrange transport from the ferry to the hotel. Lots of beach toys for kids and snorkelling gear to borrow. Filter coffee machine in each room. Need to boil kettle for hot water to wash. Over 100 steps!

Beautiful bungalows nested in the jungle, on a cliff above the far east end of Sunrise Beach. Serene, peaceful and quiet. Everything can be delivered to your room. That particular stretch of the beach has the finest powdery sand as well. Great restaurant on premises with plethora of options, both local and western cuisine. The staff is phenomenal and very accommodating.

Serendipity is a collection of private wooden villas set amongst the hillside rainforest. Very secluded on a quiet beach cove perfect for swimming and snorkeling, and within east walking distance of walking street & beach life.
The staff were always friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good, and there was a good choice of food and drinks in the restaurant.
The villas have a very natural wooden design with stunning views. The pool villas are even better with a small infinity edge plunge pool to soak in and enjoy the view. Plenty of bugs around so pack some repellent!
Note: This resort is set on a steep hill, with many steps up and down from the villas to the beach so is not really recommended for visitors with mobility issues. Also not really designed for families with young children.
Overall we loved the place. It’s got to be one of the best spots on the island.

Best place i have been.

Very helpful and very polite staff. View from the room is spectacular. You can enjoy sun rise right in your room. Also food at “On the Rock” restaurant is very delicious although they serve big portion. ^^

Beautiful small resort with fantastic pool villas.

The villa was amazing. I loved waking up to the beautiful seaview. And the pool was great, we could just go for a swim at any time. Breakfast is served in room, so you can enjoy it on your nice balcony or even in the pool.

Food wise, it wasn't exceptional but not bad either. I was just horrified by the number of ants coming after breakfast was served. That part was kinda scary...

The beach is secluded and very private. Water is crystal clear and sand is super soft. Loved it.
