SR Residence Hotel in Phetchabun

Not too bad, great pool facilities

A fantastic hotel at a truly great price. Everything is new and modern. The staff is very courteous, and the hotel is located in a very quiet neighborhood. Absolutely no traffic noise. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

This is a very nice hotel with spacious rooms, soft beds (little bit harder than those of Hop Inn), a very big swimming pool (maximum depth about 1,4 meters) and a very impressive breakfast. In the evening you can enjoy yourselves there as well by having dinner or some cocktails around the swimming pool. There was live music while we stayed there.

Fine hotel, but for the age of the hotel, maintenance was poor. Bathroom was very small. When brushing your teeth, you were standing in the shower :-(

Very friendly staff and perfect breakfast, with different choices every day.

Room is nice, clean modern. everything works OK. Bed is firm, not as hard as most hotel beds but at least medium firm.

everything needs the key card to work. after you pull the card from the slot all electric stops after about 30 seconds. also need the card to use the elevator. problem is they only give 1 card. if one person stays in the room while the other does a quick swim, retrieve items from the car. or one person in the room takes a nap, or anything. so the person leaving can operate the lift without a card and must take the stairs. not viable for everyone. the front desk will help when returning.
i understand they want to save on electric but 2 cards for 2 people is normal.

the staff is friendly, polite and helpful. minimal English spoken but not an issue for most things.

the complimentary hotel breakfast is better than normally expected. they have a spacious room near the check in desk, quite clean about 20 tables for patrons. the self serve buffet had a fruit table with apples, watermelon, pineapple, oranges ect. a toaster and sliced bread with a cereal selection. no milk on display for the cereal. may have to ask for it. a coffee area with typical extras a squeeze bottle for the creamer. not sure if real cream or milk or it looked like a mix made from powder. non dairy creamer?
the about 20 selections of thai food had a nice congee soup, fried rice, stir fried chicken, pork ect along with spice options of chili, soy sauce ect.

the adjoining pool and pool bar and buffet
are nice and well situated. pool and relaxing lunch can be had during the day. later it becomes a very popular poolside bar and restaurant. Even at 2100 in the evening on a Monday night the designated parking was full. still had unmarked parking in front of the hotel but about half of that was used as well. they had many people but it was not loud. that said some evenings they have live music that is possibly louder. so if that is an issue ask for a room away from overlooking the pool.

I would come again but can find similar rooms for less with no pool or restaurant.

thier are 2 or 3 shabu hot pot restaurant across the entry. the hotel is only 2 or 3 blocks from the main road but still mostly quiet and low traffic...
