Hotel Aragvi in Cherkassy

We weren't very happy with this hotel or the service here.
When booking, there's no option to choose a room with twin or double beds.
I don't know who contacted me personally through Booking.com to confirm my arrival time, but no one even wrote a simple "Hello."
Upon check-in, we were asked to transfer money to our card. Because of the closing shift, we were told. What, excuse me?! As vacationers, we don't care, sorry.
Upon check-in, the receptionist asked what I thought was an extremely inappropriate question: "When will you wake up?" The rationale was that breakfast would be served immediately upon arrival at the restaurant. Well, that's it. But coming to the restaurant and choosing right away—isn't that an option?
Restaurant. We sat at an uncleaned table. This despite the waitress sitting across from us at the communal tables, practically across from us. (By the way, in all my previous work in HoReCa, I never saw the staff sitting at the "common" tables in the dining room.)
I have no complaints about the food in the restaurant, nor about the drinks.
P.S.: Please install some kind of lighting for the steps on the second floor that almost killed me when I checked in! And put a "G" above the sign. We don't live in a Russian katsapia!
I really hope the owner reads this review and takes it into account. The service is poor, but it's all in your hands.
