The bed is very nice to sleep, The bath water is a bit yellow.

Absolutely great place to stay, steeped in history and a lovely room too. Booked as a single but had a very comfy double bed and private bathroom. Would stay again and recommend highly!

Was a romantic get away, found that the drinks are expensive inside the hotel. we never ate at the hotel, as there is a couple of nice pubs close by. the staff were friendly, THe place is a bit of a maze but cool. they do run daily tours but its best if you book up in advance as when we tried to do day of the tour no availability. it is run via a 3rd party not the hotel itself.

We had a great stay at the Castle Hotel and would stay again. The staff was very friendly and the Castle is amazing

The food in the knights restaurant was very good , so much so we changed our plans and ate there a second night . Overall a pleasant stay though the rain limit our spirits and enthusiasm to go exploring.

We held our we'd reception here August 2016 and they were fantastic! The room was beautiful! The meal was fab! All round perfect!

Excellent Sunday Lunch
Today was our first visit for sunday lunch and we weren’t disappointed. We couldn’t fault the food, the beef and chicken were superb and there was a great selection of nicely cooked veg. if you can manage, there is also an excellent choice for desert. Nice to find somewhere local, with good food, reasonable prices for drinks and excellent friendly service. We’ll definitely be visiting again.
