Hotels in Truckee

Room was fine. Food options and restaurants are not great. The convenience is what stands out since you can avoid the crowds in the village. Everything you touch is more expensive than SF though. Nightly parking is extra and room service is crazy. You just get the feeling that the hotel is trying to extract as much as possible. Not the most relaxing stay.

This is truly a 5 star hotel, the property is super nice and the service is amazing. We were debating to stay in South Lake Tahoe but chose this hotel instead and that was absolutely the best decision.

The hotel was beautiful, set back in the trees on the slopes so very quiet and outside of town. The beds/rooms were very comfortable, quiet and spacious. The staff was very nice and welcoming. The only complaint I had was that the main pool/pool restaurant were closed for renovation. This wasn’t noted during booking or on their website. They did offer use of the smaller spa pool with poolside service...

I've stayed at this property before and I've always had a great experience, but this time didn't measure up. We were unfortunately placed in a room designated for guests who use a wheelchair. Oddly this room was on the second floor. While the room was clean, we didn't understand the locking mechanism for the pocket door and accidentally locked ourselves out of the bathroom. It was a great stay-great breakfast-close to Northstar. Nice big hot tub. Beds were a little hard-that was our only complaint.

The check in was pleasant, and the all of the staff including the front desk and breakfast kitchen staff (Jill and another lady making omelets) were friendly and knowledgeable. The room was clean and welcoming.

The value for the price did not match. Room was very cold when I arrived, even though I informed them what time I would be checking in. There was air refresher in the room to cover the odor. Breakfast included did not have too many choices either. Little let down if you ask me.

Hot tub was out of service. Table in the room was old metal that appeared to have been used as a cutting board...a lot.

The inn at Truckee was a great place to stay for our snowboarding trip. Location was close to the slopes and parking was free. The room was clean and comfortable though it was a chore getting to the third floor with no elevator. It did give us the opportunity to admire the view from the picture windows looking out from the stairs. There was a solid grab and go breakfast each morning which we appreciated...

The staff was really nice.. but hotel is in very run down condition. The quality of breakfast was also very average. And this is compared to the price you pay, the value of money you get when you book something else in the same price point..

Great place to stay. I'm not into fancy or boujee hotels, so when i give this place 5 stars, i'm not talking about a $1000 a night gold plated Hilton hotel room. The room was cozy with comfortable beds. The backyard area was cute with a spa and games like corn hole. The beds were comfortable and we loved the little electric fireplace/ we will definitely be staying here again.
