Mantra Hervey Bay in Hervey Bay

Greeted warmly by staff. Given a ground floor room with great views of the marina. Room was comfortable and clean. Originally emailed and requested a room away from lifts. Our room was directly opposite the lift. Fortunately the lift for this 6 storey building is broken and had been for quite some time apparently. Along with the pool fence, which requires guests to trek right around the building to access the pool that is right in front of the lobby. Unfortunately had other guests smoking on the balcony above and on the deck next door.

Unfortunately our 'marina view' room was on the ground floor facing a neon lit billboard. It did have easy access to the boardwalk but a marina view would have been nice. The room had a nice hot tub

Relaxing atmosphere,bed was comfortable easy walk to dinner,friendly staff. Car park was easy walk to the car.

I enjoyed the view from our room.

We stayed in a one bedroom marina facing room.  Although the interior was dated, the carpet was new and everything, including saucepans and frypan were spotlessly clean.  Our apartment wasn’t serviced during the week because it wasn’t a hotel room, but we had a washing machine and dryer in our room so I was able to wash our towels.

As an Accor member, we enjoyed complimentary drinks on Tuesday afternoon!

No far away from airport - Around $25 Uber from the airport. The hotel provides storage for luggages after check out, which is very nice.

Service was OK
No discussion about deposit at time of booking only when booking in.
Room smelt bad. I think the carpet was wet and moldy. Had to leave all of the doors and windows open to let freash air into the room. Was not game to turn on the air-conditioning in case it was mold affected like the carpet.
Kitchen sink drain smelt like a toilet. Had to pour hot water down the drain to try and get rid of smell.
Room was tired and dated.
Stayed at the Remada last time and would recommend them over Mantra in its current state.

Apartment was spotlessly clean. Everything we needed was available. Club 5 minute walk away had great food great prices and staff were so polite and friendly. The staff at the Mantra were polite and so helpful. We will be back

Dear Management,
I am writing to formally complain about the condition of my room during my recent stay at your property.
I was shocked and horrified to find the shower area covered with hair from previous guests, including hair stuck to the shower wall and scattered on the floor. This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about hygiene and room cleaning standards. In addition, the kettle provided in the room was covered in dust, indicating that the room had not been properly cleaned prior to my arrival.
For the price I paid, this level of cleanliness is far below what is expected from a Mantra hotel and does not reflect the standard advertised. I did not feel comfortable using the bathroom facilities, and this significantly impacted my stay.
I am extremely disappointed and not happy with this experience. I request that this matter be taken seriously and would appreciate an explanation, along with appropriate compensation or a refund for the inconvenience and distress caused.
