Welcome Home Motel and Apartments in Rockhampton

My friends and I were one of the many unfortunate people to stay at this motel. As a group of young adults and late teenagers it’s hard to come across an affordable hotel/motel so when we found this we thought we hit the jackpot, affordable, reasonable sized, clean motel and it has a pool. After we unpacked and took our shoes we felt how sticky the floor was and within 20mins in the motel all of our feet’s were black. Right before we left the motel to go to the movies the owner came down and shocked us with a surprise safety deposit because “your a bit loud and noise.” When we asked her if she does this with all of her customers we were met with no response and was simply told it was for everyone’s safety. Thinking surly it can’t get worse then this we saw a little cockroach crawling out from under the fridge, when I needed to go to the toilet the was a big cockroach. I have a phobia of cockroaches so I couldn’t get any sleep that night as well as my friends which is dangerous because we had a long drive ahead of us the next day. You may think that’s the worst of it but it’s not, one of my friends had mud on their shoes and took them off out side just to find that they had been stolen. My mum taught me as a young kid to get the dirty sheets in a pile because it just makes the cleaners job a little bit easier, when we did this we found holes in our bed and duck tape. That explains why the bed was so uncomfortable. This is one of the absolute worst experiences I’ve ever had in my life I would rather go to a caravan park and pitch a tent before I stay here ever again. If you care for your health and hygiene do not stay at this motel.

The guy Jim was very rude not good customer service at all
Jim wanted my card number for a holding fee but it did not sound right. He goes pay the money or leave
this was at 2030 at night also.
The room has do not smoke in the room as soon as you open the it smell like cigarettes.
The shower pressure is no good
The room is very basic not worth $125
The road noise is very bad so loud

Terrible experience.The female owner was extremely rude and unfriendly, and her attitude felt petty and unprofessional.

The room was filthy. The bathroom and sink were covered in grime and clearly not cleaned properly.

The air conditioner made constant strange noises, which made it impossible to get a good night’s sleep.

I would strongly advise others to avoid this place.

Was absolutely horrified of the cleanliness. Felt like we were sleeping on bricks.
The shower had mould throughout, toilet had previouse stayers shit in the bowl.
Towels smelt filthy and one had some sort of brown marks on it.
Lucky I take my own bedding and towels to use.
The actual manager/ owner of the place got caught entering our room not once but 3 times.
No privacy at all.
The swimming pool was full of bugs and mould
Worst hotel i have ever stayed in

Give them a miss. Said they CAN change the date of booking, then all of a sudden can't change the date. Can't refund the booking. Can't do anything. Can barely understand them, English is clearly not their first language. Scabs. Took money for a service they didn't provide.
