Room was not in main hotel. There did not appear to be any sound proofing as I was disturbed by noise from the car park and early morning delivery vehicles. WiFi was very poor and unusable, had to sit in reception area to complete work assignments.

I was positively surprised by the level of service at this hotel in Aalst. At first, I had made a mistake with my reservation at a well-known French hotel chain. I then found this hotel, and the staff were extremely helpful. They managed the booking over the phone very efficiently and explained everything clearly. The service is truly excellent. Parking is free! Staff is friendly, bathroom is as small las one in a camper van. Bed linens are a little rough.

The location is very good. It only takes 25 minutes to drive to Brussels Midi (no traffic jam at night). It is right next to the highway intersection, and next to the Aalst outlet (very small). If you are traveling to Bruges or Ghent, it is a good choice to bring your own car.

My stay at the Ibis (Accor) hotel was generally okay, but I was surprised by the absence of basic amenities such as slippers, toothpaste, and a toothbrush, which I have come to expect from other Ibis properties. A family run hotel midway between the city centre and the station. Full of old world charm, tastefully decorated and very friendly staff. Our room was a generous size with a seating area, but the bathroom was a little on the small size. Free WiFi and a lift to all floors. The breakfast for an additional 12euros was good value.

Yeah it's a little dated, but so is Aalst. Was a little thrown at first but hey, you can't expect a plush Hilton in Aalst. It's just not that sort of place and that's part of the charm. Friendly staff, cosy functional room and very close to the station.

Nice quiet place for an overnight stop. Used it on a 500km cycle tour of the low countries. Usefully spaced between Brussels and Bruges. Very friendly helpful owner. Clean and pleasant accommodation.
