Howard Johnson Dream Sea Resort Weihai in Weihai

The view from the window was absolutely stunning – a beach, windmills, and lush greenery, all contributing to a peaceful and comfortable atmosphere. The service was exceptional; they even helped bring down some items I'd forgotten. The room was clean and spacious, and the breakfast spread was impressive.

The kids absolutely loved the room! The hotel also offers self-service laundry, which is great. My only minor gripe is that I didn't have time to take out our washed clothes promptly. It would be a fantastic improvement if the hotel staff could help hang them on the drying rack outside. Other than that, five-star rating all the way!

After comparing several hotels, we ultimately chose the Howard Johnson Plaza Zhuhai, and we're so glad we did! The location is excellent, very close to the beach. The hotel environment is also great, and there are many restaurants nearby. The room service was incredibly friendly, and we even got a suite upgrade with a fantastic ocean view. Miya provided superb service! The breakfast was also clean and hygienic. My family was very satisfied, and we'll definitely be staying here again on our next trip.

My child loved the Xianghai beach, and our room had a direct view of the ocean. They also enjoyed the hotel's fried rice for breakfast and the burgers for dinner. The service was excellent.

The room facilities are so outdated. I thought the luxury sea view room would offer a beautiful ocean view, but it's nothing like that. You have to stand up just to see it, and there are tall railings obstructing the view below.

My experience wasn't great. The hotel delayed check-in until 5 PM, making guests wait three hours in the lobby. On top of that, they demanded check-out by 12 PM the next day.

The GSM (Guest Service Manager) was excellent! Initially, we were given the wrong room (we booked a sea-view room but got a garden view). However, they actively communicated and negotiated with us, eventually upgrading us to a better room type, along with welcome fruits and homemade yogurt. The upgraded suite was great – spacious, well-equipped, and with a fantastic sea view 👍🏻

The room was very clean and tidy overall, and the amenities were great. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, which is very family-friendly for those traveling with children.

Every evening, two bottles of yogurt were delivered, and the yogurt was delicious; my child loved it.
The hotel slippers were excellent, very comfortable for disposable ones.
The bedding met 5-star standards, soft and cozy.
The staff at the lobby entrance were enthusiastic and helped open car doors.
The location is great, just a short walk to the beach, and the surrounding area is also quite nice.

Two things I wasn't particularly satisfied with:
1. There were people live streaming in the restaurant and lobby every day. They spoke very loudly, which was noisy and inappropriate.
2. The 'sea view' room was a partial side view, not directly facing the sea, and had no balcony (see attached photo). The view was okay, but it wasn't the direct sea view I was hoping for.

This hotel is one of the closest to the beach in the Xianghai area. It's relatively new with good facilities. The surrounding amenities are also quite comprehensive, making shopping and dining convenient. For dining, I recommend going to the back of the nearby residential complex, not the 'Kaihai' restaurant in front. There's also a forest hot spring near the hotel, which is pretty good!
