From the start, both receptionists were outstanding. Willing to assist us with places to visit and activities. We got upgraded to the loveliest room I've ever seen, making the stay my first stay in kARLOVAC unforgettable. The little garden at the back is perfect for breakfast, and the breakfast itself was fantastic. The location is great, walking distance to many restaurants and the OLD CITY.. Overall...

I do understand it was end of the session but the state of our room could of been better,shower head was broken,soap was empty etc... plus when we entered the hotel when we said hello nobody said anything back.Very awkward

A very nice place to stay overnight on the way to and from Croatia. The included breakfast could have been better, but it was good enough to warrant a lower rating. The room was clean, and the BATHTUB was perfect for relaxing after a long drive! For me, it was fantastic!

The room is clean and elegant. The staff is very friendly and polite. The breakfast buffet is quite sufficient and varied. I can give this rating to every one of our stays there.

The guest must pay the accommodation at the time of arrival at the reception, in advance, while receiving the bill upon departure; unusual. Ten-minute power failure at 11 pm?! Hotel is generally renovated, nice. :)

Location very good, everything is close to you. Down you have bar ehere you can go. The bedroom have old smeelings probably because of carpets that serve many years... Tv signal no work... Electrical brackets fall off..

Clean and good located hotel. It's a bit old fashioned but that's not a big problem. Reasonable price. Breakfast included adds on the value for the money. Only thing odd for me is that the staff kept our ID's

Hotel is placed right in the centre. On reception they took ours ID’s and didn’t give them back until we asked them to give them back few hours after. Rooms are old-fashioned but OK. AC isn’t that strong to cool down the room, you have to wait for a good while. If you don’t expect too much it is probably good for you.

Absolutely value for money. Very functional, friendly personnel, very spacious rooms, right at the city centre at a stone throw of everything.

I've stayed at the Hotel Carlstadt at least four times over the years and have enjoyed every stay. My last stay was in early November of 2022. It's a no-frills hotel with affordable clean rooms and really good breakfast included in the price. The bed was really comfortable. Oh yes, the staff members were great. I'll definitely stay there again upon my next return to Croatia.

Have stayed at Carlstadt on 3 occasions now - twice in the same room 4 years apart and once (this visit) in the adjacent room. Considering it is a 3 star hotel you should not expect luxury however the rooms are clean, the beds comfortable and there are facilities like a small TV, an air con and a bar fridge. On this latest visit the fridge was not working and the bathroom sink plug mechanism was missing...

the hotel is close to the city but also on the river

This is an exceptional hotel. Situated on a beautiful lake with swans and ducks. Beautiful building with an outstanding restaurant with the best duck entre ever. The breakfast was outstanding. The staff are als incredible. A special thank you to Marisa.

A wonderful hotel in the middle of a large park! You can't get a nicer place to stay in Karlovac. The breakfast was great and the view of the river is breathtaking. We would love to come back again!

Lovely oasis in Karlovac Only issue with hotel was noise... but as with so many hotels in Croatia, it was constructed before soundproofing was a "thing" - so of you ever have a need or desire to stay in Karlovac bring a sound machine or some ear plugs and enjoy this charming hotel with excellent service and comfortable rooms. Right on the river, in the middle of a lovely park, we very much enjoyed...

The hotel is excellent, the staff is polite, the prices are indicated in the office for service and accommodation.

Good breakfast, very large rooms. Good location, near the river in a green area. The city center is only 15 minutes walk. It is possible to rent bicycles at the hotel. The pool is small, but it's there! - stayed here in July 2020
