Art Hotell in Rakvere

An ok hotel, arguably above average for the region but not quite up to Western standards I’d suggest. The regions style is like your Nans house in the 80’s, odd but seemingly the style in that area. The staff are friendly enough when you engage with them, although the staff go home in the afternoon so it can be difficult to get any form of assistance after 1700, although there is a number. It’s looking tired in places but the room was spacious enough. Internet was relatively ok although the tv doesn’t have many international channels. Breakfast was self serve continental, with a choice of tea or coffee. It has a free car park right outside which is good, there’s a bar/restaurant over the road although the staff there seem quite miserable but the food was ok. Forget the stigma, Estonia isn’t a cheap place to visit so at €350 for four nights it’s not cheap but about average. I’d stay again if I had to but to be honest I’d prefer to stay in a more modern hotel in Tallinn and travel.
