An unforgettable stay – the perfect home away from home!

We had an incredible stay at Aurora Queen Resort. It is a stunning boutique hotel where you truly feel at home from the moment you arrive.

The Personal Touch: What makes this place stand out is the personalized treatment. Nina and Pasi (the owners) and the entire staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. You aren't just another guest; you are treated like family.

The Experience:
• Dining: The food menus were absolutely delicious—every meal was a highlight of our trip.
• Comfort: The rooms are very comfortable and thoughtfully equipped with everything you could possibly need.
• Atmosphere: Since it’s a small hotel, there are no crowds. It’s peaceful and intimate, making it ideal for couples or families with small children, though I would personally classify it more as an adult-oriented retreat.

Location & Logistics: The hotel is a bit tucked away from Saariselka, If you don't have a car, transfers can be a bit pricey. However, this is easily managed by renting a car or booking activities that include pick-up services.

Honestly, we have no complaints. It was an amazing trip and we can’t wait to go back!

We stayed at the hotel for three nights in room 14. The stay was very enjoyable. The rooms are luxurious and the view from the room is stunning. Igloo rooms with a transparent ceiling. The food served at the hotel was excellent. We enjoyed it very much. Nina, the owner of the place, took care of everything we asked for. The waitress with the black ponytail was charming. I don't remember her name. She was simply excellent.

The perfect place to stay while visiting the north of Finland!
Awesome glass ceiling cabins that are cozy and beautifully designed. Great finely cooked food. And, above all, amazing warm hospitaly that makes you feel like a family member.
Highly recommend!

Witnessed the northern lights and it was absolutely stunning!

I booked the East Glass Igloo. There were over 50 ants in the room. I tolerated it for about 3 hours, but couldn't take it anymore and reported it to the front desk. I was upgraded to the West Kelo Igloo. Both the East and West igloos have front desks, but the East one is within walking distance from the bus stop. To get to the West igloo, you need to ask the East front desk for a shuttle. In my case, there were many issues caused by the hotel, but it still took about an hour to move to the new room. There are no supermarkets or anything nearby, so I recommend buying any necessities in advance. Later, at dinner, there was a miscommunication that I had moved from the East igloo, and I was shown a reservation list with my name not on it. I had an early check-out due to personal reasons, so breakfast wasn't available. The hotel had messaged me beforehand saying they would provide a breakfast bento, so I shouldn't worry, but I never received the bento. When I messaged them about it, I was ghosted. The price and location are that of a luxury hotel, but the staff's service was below average.

Really, just amazing. Nina and Pasi run an incredible resort nestled in the woods in Lapland. If you want the best Lapland experience, this is the place to go. Not the big commercial resort, but a boutique resort with every detail well thought out. Food was so delicious, rooms were epic. Book this place.

The property is great but it’s unfortunate there’s nothing like hospitality in this property. We stayed at 2 other cities in Finland and they were attentive, helpful and food was fab. However, at Kakslautten, they are unstaffed, food is horrible at best and they want to see in what innovative ways they can extract more money from the guests. I gave feedback live to the manger and nothing was done. No acknowledgement or willingness to make it a good experience for the guests. Don’t waste your time going here

We had an unforgettable stay at Kakslauttanen! The resort was blanketed in snow, creating a peaceful, storybook atmosphere — exactly what we were hoping for. It’s a wonderfully quiet place, perfect for relaxing and soaking in the beauty of Lapland.

Dinner was a highlight — delicious, hearty, and included in our stay, which made things super convenient. The buffet breakfast was also great, with plenty of options to fuel up before a day of exploring.

If you’re looking for a serene winter getaway with cozy vibes and stunning snowy landscapes, this is the place. We loved every minute!

Lovely stay, love the kelo igloo and the trips organised by the resort. Just our luck with the weather that was snowing heavily while we were there hence could not enjoy the igloo nor catch any northern light. Lovely amenities nonetheless. Dinner was alright- food could be better and the timing served between each course as we were left forgotten for quite a while (not busy times) before having to remind the waitresses. But otherwise it was still a nice stay
