The hotel can be found easily by the main road and is very close to the lake on the opposite side of the main street and shopping area. The room was spacious on the top floor. There were two toilets in the room. Windows could be opened which was good compared to other hotels we have stayed in Finland during this summer. There was also a fan to help with the airflow. Kitchen and fridge was in the basement...

Furniture in the rooms are quite dated. Had two shower/bathrooms in my room. Still do not understand why. Breakfest was good and the location is great.

+ Swimming pools and public saunas were good + Food was great + The rooms were clean and big. + Good parking space - Staff were friendly but forgot to charge us 2 times. First time of a beer and second time of our hotel room! Very unprofessional. - The sauna in the room was a waste of money since you could barely fit one person inside. - The hotel looks very old and ugly from the outside.

We needed a hotel room for 4 nights after Christmas. 2 adults and 2 little kids. There were not that many options available in Kajaani as we were late for the reservation. We had SuperiorX Queen room which was a bit too small for us. SuperiorX apparently meant bigger TV and sauna. The bathroom was nicely renovated but the sauna was really small and inconvenient (even not safe) for the kids. Comfortable...

Would recommend for Kajaani Friendly staff, super quick check-in experience. Good location, very nice breakfast, high-quality restaurant for dinner too.

Great location, heated attached garage!!! Good location in the heart of Kajaani. Room was nicer than expected - bathroom was gorgeous, room was small but fine. Wifi was too weak to stream Netflix, fine, but otherwise a winner. Best part - it was -35C but had zero concerns as my car was in an attached heated garage for 8 euros that kept it at around 2C. After a freezing cold trip, thank you!

Excellent choice. Beautiful, quiet surroundings, easy to walk to the city. nice walk by the castle ruins and river. The staff were very friendly and nice, gluten free food available, morning coffee was tasty and the breakfast really good too. Cannot find negative things to say!

Rooms maybe a bit dated, but clean and cozy. We stayed in the guest house and only thing I probably want more from this place is sauna 😁 But for that I would need to pay a bit more for the room. Absolutely big plus for us was the kitchen and washing machine as we stayed for almost 2 weeks for work. WiFi was a bit weak in my room, definitely could be better just placing the router in the corridor and...

Coming from three disappointing hotels in Kajaani, hotel Aateli was a very, very positive surprise. The breakfast, the staff, the and room's facilities were just what I needed.

Small hotel, but very nice, new/modern and clean. Breakfast area was fantastic (surprisingly so for a small hotel). The views and proximity to ski slopes will make this a popular spot.

We were not staying at the hotel but nearby, our visit to the restaurant was very pleasant. Dinner was excellent both in quality and service, both the food and wine. Prices were I felt very reasonable. I would recommend dinner and the feel of the hotel, without knowing the prices or having stayed there.

Rooms met the expectations. No noises during night so I slept really well. I worked remotely from the room and hotel internet was really fast which was a big plus.

We spent 2 nice nights at this hotel and the experience was very good. We had a loft room for 4 persons and it was a very nice surprise how spacious it was! Reception personnel was also very helpful and service was friendly. Good breakfast, especially eggs and bacon were perfect. Gym at the hotel is very well equipped and a lot bigger than average hotel gyms.
