The most astonishing spot experienced in Finland. The panorama from the wooden cabin through the glass window in winter is simply breathtaking. The hiking paths around the hill are amazing. The personnel is also very helpful. All in all, highly recommended. One tip: Remember to do some food shopping before arriving, the closest shopping center is ca. 20km away by car.

Ni e location, until the last second I was sure Google maps took us to a dead end and then the hotel popped out. Just remember that linen cost extra 12 euros per person

Tranquil location, outstanding scenery and great hosts! Highly recommended for nature lovers, many routes for snowshoeing and hiking.

Excellent choice. Beautiful, quiet surroundings, easy to walk to the city. nice walk by the castle ruins and river. The staff were very friendly and nice, gluten free food available, morning coffee was tasty and the breakfast really good too. Cannot find negative things to say!

Rooms maybe a bit dated, but clean and cozy. We stayed in the guest house and only thing I probably want more from this place is sauna 😁 But for that I would need to pay a bit more for the room. Absolutely big plus for us was the kitchen and washing machine as we stayed for almost 2 weeks for work. Furniture in the rooms are quite dated. Had two shower/bathrooms in my room. Still do not understand why. Breakfest was good and the location is great.

Easy to arrive with a lot of free parking although parking spots are quite narrow for a big car. Service at reception was very happy and friendly. The room was totally outdated standard with also almost no electricity sockets in any practical places. It was quite spacious and made from too previous single rooms, although strangely there was two small toilet/showers left probably after renovations....

Great location, heated attached garage!!! Good location in the heart of Kajaani. Room was nicer than expected - bathroom was gorgeous, room was small but fine. Wifi was too weak to stream Netflix, fine, but otherwise a winner. Best part - it was -35C but had zero concerns as my car was in an attached heated garage for 8 euros that kept it at around 2C. After a freezing cold trip, thank you!

Sokos Hotel Valjus is located right in the middle of Kajaani. It has been partly renovated and I was lucky to be assigned a renovated room. The service at the reception was very friendly. Nice spacious room with sauna (upgrade) nice staff very helpful. Hot water in the room for coffee, tea or chocolate, this was replenished for free every day. The only disadvantage was that you had to go across the street for breakfast, which was in a different building. The breakfast was great by the way!

Friendly staff. Tidy room. Great view. Grocery shopping in walking distance. Hiking trail around the lake. Problems: My room doesn't have a fridge, nor kettle. Tiny portable fridge was provided, but it's just too noisy to keep it running overnight. Commercial trucks are allowed to park very close to the building. Extensive idling starting at 0600 below your window isn't quite the best sound to begin...

This hotel is ok for one night stay close to citycenter. No A/C so it gets hot in the summer. The bathrooms would need renovation asap. Rooms are old and very unconfortable beds and pillows. Breakfast was pretty good. Staff not available 24/7. Still ok for the money we paid.

Super nice place. Been here multiple years. On both party and ski trips with friends and now with family with small kids. Very children friendly with playrooms, baby pools, bowling and so forth. Also dogs have a own dogpark here to play at. Everything is so close you dont even need a car! There is a buss here straight from Kajaani train station. The Internet signal it was very bad for me . You cannot play online games because your ping will be more the 900 🤦🏽‍♂️🙈. Wifi also is not helping 😂 , but overall the hotel is not bad 👌 Ps : i paied 9.20€ for1 pint of Heineken 0.5 good luck 😂

The Spa to go to, really compact and still able to pack a lot into small space. Loafs of saunas and relaxing areas, less swimming etc water fun. Good family destination Pretty new and well equipped apartment with huge balcony. Kurre cottage was a really high quality and nice place to stay. Everything tape was available. Outside there is a private barbecue and in addition a shared barbecue hut. A quiet place 😊 and the dog was also welcome.

The decor is fine in the cottages are spacious and the kitchen is fitted with all the accessories. There is a sauna and a utility room, a terrace with barbecue. Everything you can expect from the cottage is there! I recommend !!

We were not staying at the hotel but nearby, our visit to the restaurant was very pleasant. Dinner was excellent both in quality and service, both the food and wine. Prices were I felt very reasonable. I would recommend dinner and the feel of the hotel, without knowing the prices or having stayed there.

Rooms met the expectations. No noises during night so I slept really well. I worked remotely from the room and hotel internet was really fast which was a big plus.

We spent 2 nice nights at this hotel and the experience was very good. We had a loft room for 4 persons and it was a very nice surprise how spacious it was! Reception personnel was also very helpful and service was friendly. Good breakfast, especially eggs and bacon were perfect. Gym at the hotel is very well equipped and a lot bigger than average hotel gyms.

Spacious villa in a quiet location. There is space for even a larger group and a really good space for lubrication of skis in the yard building. No luxury, but just a choice for a group of skiers, hikers or a dog family who enjoy themselves in peace. The stove, or at least its stones, could be renewed.
