Johanssonin talo 1849 Hotel

Clean, we were in a two-person apartment right near the center of Joensuu, a small fridge, a separate kitchen shared by the customers, with a dishwasher, coffee and kettle, microwave, toilet. Limited parking space for cars in the courtyard. Staying 75e, parking fee was 15e. There was no need to fear that someone would punch the car.

The room's door code didn't work and to open the door you had to call the security company, which did help in solving the problem right away. Otherwise, a comfortable hotel.

Very comfortable and clean accommodation. The facilities have been renovated, but the toilet/shower facilities are a bit shabby. However, a special mention of the shower downstairs, with a ceiling nozzle and sufficient water pressure. It was enjoyable to shower.

The soundscape is noisy. The rattling of other residents and the opening/closing of doors can be heard strongly in the rooms, as well as traffic noise.

The location is absolutely top. Just a block away from the market and riverfront. A nice walk to the train station. I didn't see much of the staff. Door codes and instructions came via message, so no need to meet the staff.

You could try to improve the soundscape and maybe a vending machine would be nice in addition to the coffee machine. There is a breakfast option in the neighboring block on weekdays, but on the weekend you have to look for breakfast a little further. Citymarket can be found a couple of blocks away.

All in all, good value for money and I could choose this place for accommodation again.
