Absolutely terrible internet service. No connection in the rooms and even in the lobby it is spotty. Unacceptable by today's standards

As a restaurant this please is very good and I highly recommend it

Stayed in a triple room for two nights. The room was clean, spacious and well light. Decent breakfast. The key-card machine was very useful for late arrivals.

Very tidy and clean budget hotel. Modern appliances, renowated room, good beds, no noise from other rooms or from outside, good free wifi. Right at the City center, close to the trainstation. If you are looking for an affordable hotel this is a good choice. Breakfast buffet was decent and with the pricing in mind even excellent.

A very convenient location. The staff is friendly. The rooms are clean. Liked that has its own covered Parking.

I have not found flaws in the room. May be, except that it would be more convenient if there was another chair or armchair.

All right, I left drunk, it's a great place to organize even bigger parties

A good beach and comfortable facilities..BUT nothing more than serving breakfast, you had to go to the local store to get dinner. Although the place is for sale, was it because of that?

Overall Amazing place, only stayed for food, didn't test the hotel side, food was excellent and staff was funny and service was fast, i ate a burger and a chocolate cake myself, both were good and warm, i would recommend this place for a visit, it even has a history behind it

The hotel is great! My room was clean and had everything I needed in the kitchen and the toilet room. Access to the building and the room is by the code so you don't need to carry any keys with you which is convenient. They have awesome breakfasts. You have to eat karjalanpiirakka and salmon and vatrushka and sultsina 😋 I took a bicycle from the hotel reception and was exploring the city on the bike...

Had a wonderful one night stay. The staff couldn’t be nicer and the room was super clean and comfortable with a nice view of the river. We plan to stay there again on our way back south from Lapland. The breakfast was excellent and a good value for €10.

Excellent location near the middle of town along a picturesque river and park. Nice efficient room designs with a small kitchenette and washing machine in the room. Very good breakfast including local pastries, oatmeal and berries, eggs and smoked salmon. They have a very nice sauna facility that you can reserve for your private use. The staff is also very welcoming and helpful. I've stayed there...

We stayed for two nights, and it was an enjoyable stay for us—tidy rooms equipped with a washing machine and kitchenette. The sauna can be privately used with reservation, and the gym downstairs is easily accessible and opens early. The heartwarming Karelian breakfast is very nice. We definitely will stay again when we stay at Joensuu.

Beautiful rooms at very good location. Reminds of cozy Italian B&B's.

Room was tiny, but it at least had air conditioning. Bed was just okay, pillows were worse. There was a loud door down the corridor that slammed every time it was shut; it woke us several times. Parking was atrocious; if their tiny adjacent lot is full, you have to park 400m away in a garage. Breakfast was okay. Overall, it was a nice place, but not quite four-star.

Good breakfast, but otherwise just a low star hotel.

This hotel belongs to older ones but prices and services are very good. Staff is really helpful and another thing I appreciate is breakfast. The location of hotel in centre of Joensuu is also very convenient.

Good place, location, nice sauna and breakfast is fine. Rooms are too small

Good hotel with friendly stuff

Food was great and plentiful! Many courses surprised with their great flavor

Food was good and cheap and it was cousy place.

Probably the only proper hotel around here. Quite old and it shows, but they are also renovating it, proper air conditioning was just added. Breakfast is nothing special, but serves it purpose. Dinner is surprisingly good and that I can recommend.

The room's door code didn't work and to open the door you had to call the security company, which did help in solving the problem right away. Otherwise, a comfortable hotel.

Very comfortable and clean accommodation. The facilities have been renovated, but the toilet/shower facilities are a bit shabby. However, a special mention of the shower downstairs, with a ceiling nozzle and sufficient water pressure. It was enjoyable to shower. The soundscape is noisy. The rattling of other residents and the opening/closing of doors can be heard strongly in the rooms, as well as...

Clean, we were in a two-person apartment right near the center of Joensuu, a small fridge, a separate kitchen shared by the customers, with a dishwasher, coffee and kettle, microwave, toilet. Limited parking space for cars in the courtyard. Staying 75e, parking fee was 15e. There was no need to fear that someone would punch the car.

Excellent hotel, good food. Facilities are still under construction so most likely worthy of 5 stars when fully complete.

Lovely accommodation and a pleasant hotel with friendly staff

Not much wrong per say - beds are soft and good, typical mid-range hotel otherwise and quite close to the city with a good breakfast and lots of space in the restaurant. However... In my personal experience, the electricity sockets in rooms were at inconvenient places, and bathroom had bits of dirt and dust in the corners. The room overall was clean with not much to complain about, yet that struck...

It was better stay than expected. Yes, hotel need little updating, but people was very friendly and that is also mean much. Good breakfast and location. I got good sleeps here. Sauna area is little small. Free limited parking, but I got a place unless arrived at 18.00

Very basic hotel with good situation and varied breakfast. The facilities need little updating but good enough for one night staying.

Very basic, austere and plain. Less than average breakfast. Nothing particularly bad, but it felt very 1960's, without the good bits. Parking was available, but limited to a first-come, first served basis. Good location in the city centre.

Poor breakfast service. People wait coffee for 1/2 hour. No excuse, no explanation. I dont know what went wrong. The girls did work all the time, but not for the guests. No smoothie, no tomatoes, no pancake, no cake, no normal milk, no service.

The location is very good in the city center, just next to market. Walking distance from railway station is less than 10 minutes. The service at the hotel was quite friendly, but I was so disappointed they did not informed me beforehand about legionella bacterial in the water. They said it is not advisable to have a shower at all and that was a big minus after travelling about 4,5 hours and arriving...

Nice hotel center of Joensuu, big room, good breakfast. Easy to come, parking are not very big, but enough. Early room was good for us, sauna was big and very good size. Good restaurants were easy to find.

Got room on what seems to be the old side, so a bit run down. Also had to use extra lift to navigate within the same floor with child cart.

Nice hotel at the centre. Easy parking, lot of restaurants and good shopping facilities.

We stayed here while in Joensuu for the Biathlon World Cup in nearby Kontiolahti. On some of the other reviews, there were comments about the lack of character. Yes, it does lack this, but be honest - this is not what you are visiting Joensuu! NEGATIVES - the are only two negatives. The first was that the bathroom was VERY small and in need of updating. Yes, I am from the States but I visit Europe...

Very nice hotel in a center of city. Friendly service. Nice restaurants and grocery in same building, not to mention alcohol store around the corner. Not the newest hotel but quite well kept. No complaints. Worked for my holiday needs perfectly.

The staff , Heidi and Saverin, were outstanding. My reservation has not come through, and they worked tirelessly to make sure that it was retrieved and that I had a room on time My entire experience was excellent

In July 2020, a group of seven people (age range 5-60) was here in Palausniemi. The cottage was clean, spacious and functional, with beds with box spring mattresses and a large terrace. The dishes, especially for serving, could have been hoped for more in quantity, now served directly from the bags and the baking sheet. The grill could also have been bigger and more practical instead of a small wood...

Beautiful place, lake, cottages, but bed linen for a fee of 12 € per person and you do not expect this upon arrival. Very fast wifi

To do the check-in you have to go to pajarinhovi. This is something that no one explains you. We were like 20-30 minutes waiting at the cottages til we decided to give it a try.

Great cottages and great location! Stayed here a few times with family and also friends of ours. Everyone liked everything. Each cottage has its own closed territory with a place for barbecue and relaxation. There are saunas. Near a beautiful quiet lake. You can go fishing - they will tell you where. By the way, to the review below, the prices were not inflated in any way (I compare in general in Finland...
