I had lunch here for 16 euros. It was a buffet style soup lunch and they had salmon soup and meat soup. I had the salmon soup and it was excellent.
Location is excellent for example for lunch after doing the small Karhunkierros 12km hike.

Beautiful spot in the middle of nowhere.
Accommodation is basic but comfortable and clean. Food is tasty and filling, just what is needed in -20 temperature.

We went to the café around 11am. Coffee comes in ‚design‘ cups, which comes at the cost of quantity. Waffles were good. Not much selection of food apart from that, two or three kinds of cakes and pastries.

Beautiful location and habitat. Rooms are super cosy and more than functional with a superb collection of outdoor technical outfits for the extreme cold weather. The team work hard to provide all comforts and are always around to help. The sauna and hot tub are really welcome after a day of exercise and exploring.

Good location, room was a little small and to warm. No fridge to store your food or drinks for your hike, only one meny for dinner

The staff were incredibly kind, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout our stay. The included breakfast was excellent, and the homemade dinners, though extra, were well worth it. The lodge’s location near the national park was perfect, with trails easily accessible right from the doorstep. They also provided equipment for hiking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing, which was a great bonus. Free sauna, just a minute’s walk from our room, which could be reserved in 45-minute slots starting at 5 pm. The nearby lake, only a five-minute walk away, offered a magical experience when we witnessed the Northern Lights at midnight. This is truly a special place, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay.

We did not sleep there but did guided snowshoeing. Harry was very friendly and drove the tour with passion and knowledge. We loved the 3 hours we spent together! The soup served there after was excellent. Kiitos Harry and happy walking in beautiful Lapland !

We came here as part of an Exodus trip called Winter Wilderness Experience. Great week and we tried several new experiences such as snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, quinzee building and much more. Aldo a base to visit other experiences such as dog sledging and reindeer farm. Food is amazing as are all the staff

Basecamp is a beautiful place to stay, so peaceful and remote, with fantastic staff, lovely food and comfy rooms. The frozen lake is so picturesque, we also walked to the frozen waterfall and to the mill too, which weren't far away through the forest. The guides that led our Exodus Family Wilderness Week were great, and really took care of us when the temperature hit -34C so we could still go outside and take part in activities. The food was good, the cakes were tasty, and the soups- the orange hot chocolate was very boozy indeed. Both children (9 and 11) loved it, and embraced the activities, as well as playing games in the evening near the fire in the main building. I really hope to return one day, as the activities were great fun, the location stunning, and all the family had an amazing time.

This was a beautiful setting to stay for a week. The cabin was really cosy and the heated flooring was nice. It was an incredible place and you can ask them to knock and wake you if they see the northern lights, which is a really nice touch. The food was incredible and the staff really friendly. It was a really great base to enjoy the National park.
