Omena Hotel Vaasa Espen in Vaasa

Felt a little bit like a prison cell, but I had some time to get back on my feet, since I lost my transport and was on foot, and was lacking sleep. Cameras, entry cards everywhere. Extra safety.

Very clean in excellent location in reasonable price (reasonable to other hotels in Finland 😀)

Basic hotel with automatic check-in and self-service access. The door code arrived by email and SMS at 08.00 the morning before arrival. The door code doesn’t expire until checkout time, so a late arrival (01.30) from the Umeå ferry wasn’t a problem.

Access using the door code is from the lobby of a cinema and office building. Rooms are small but with some thoughtful little details. All rooms are on the fifth and sixth floors and have windows, which is not a given for budget hotels in Nordic counties. Good hot shower. Only concern was that the kettle lacked an automatic safety switch, and was still on, burning hot and dry when I checked in. I reported it to management.

Perfect place to stay for a short while. Located very central, clean room for a cheap price.

A god sleep hotel with small cabins and modern lavitories is all you need. Other services just outside the hotel. A recomended god hotel option for you.

A tidy and functional but small room in a great location close to the train station and city center. Easy check in and check out. The air condition worked well. I liked the firm beds but would've liked the pillows to be bigger and more supportive of the neck (or to have two) Good quality for little money.
