In the middle of Vasa and close to everything We had a great stay at this hotel. Easy to check in and special price on Cava at the roof bar. The room and bed was excellent. The breakfast was also good with a lot to choose from.

The hotel is in the center of the city. You can easily take a bus to the airport, too. Breakfast is also nice.

Facilities: There are many different flavors of coffee, the hotel has a free sauna, Sanitation: Very clean, Environment: Located in the city center, the Freedom Square is in front of the hotel, and large shopping malls and supermarkets are in the hotel building and 100 meters away. Nice place with central placement. Very nice reception and staff.

5 stars, great location and while rooms are small they are immensely comfortable. A special shout out to the receptionist when i arrived late on Sunday night, he was very friendly and really made me feel welcomed after a fairly arduous journey.

Nice and clean hotel & abundant breakfast. The bathroom was very sterile and cold and the big tv did not really work (pixels were messy and sound cutting). Truck traffic outside of the main entrance woke me up early in the morning.

A little outside of the city. Nice room. Good size double room. Good breakfast with a nice view.

The breakfast was great and the rooms that have saunas in them are amazing. The sauna was huge and was an awesome experience.

This hotel’s style takes you back to the Finnish 1980-1990s, for better or worse. Everything works, but much of it could do with some renovation. The room we had was extremely basic, the bathroom microscopic, and the sound isolation rather poor. Overall it seems well suited for families with little children, and the staff are very friendly.

Great hotel in a lovely location but wouldn't want to be there in summer season due to theme park next door ( closed in May). Large room, better than some Scandics. Slight odour from drain in bathroom could be off-putting to some. Dinner was good although the waiter forgot my dessert. When we asked for it to be taken off bill, it suddenly appeared. Breakfast was usual good fare.

We had a superior sauna room with own sauna ja jacuzzi... I loved this room. Staff very kind. Breakfast was amazing with a big variety of food.

Stayed one night with my son's on our trip back from Kemi to Helsinki. Modern building and rooms, nice interior. Service ladies really smart. Try it!

The stay was very pleasant. The staff was helpful, breakfast was good, and the in-room sauna was the best.

I stayed at the hotel.The staff was really nice .The room was clean.The breakfast was enough.However,there was no extra kettle in the room .They serve some hot drinks at the lobi but they were not good enough,the cups were so small and they were expensive .

Nice suite We very much liked our room, although there was a drip from the air conditioning unit that seemed to be damaging a table. We also had trouble with the suite’s sauna, but we otherwise loved the service and comfort of the hotel. Vaasa is a lovely city.

Accessible room For some reason we got an accessible room, it was big so we didn’t really mind it. However the room got quickly very hot, which can be a problem for those who actually are in need of an accessible room. Especially considering that they might not be able to move by themselves. Otherwise the room was nice, the bed could be adjusted with a remote control and the bathroom had a showering...

Now Tripadvisor has like 3.5 points for this hotel on average, that is seriously dated. Apparently the hotel is recently renovated, so I assume the lesser points were given before since now it is shining new. I havent been here before but was surprised of the quality. Nice deco. Excellent location in the middle of everything, beautifully renovated (everything looks like new), friendly and helpful staff and good breakfast.

Original Sokos Hotel Royal is situated at the center of Vaasa. The downside is very limited availability of free parking (i.e. none), upside is a central location from everywhere, including the train station. Parking in a heated carage below is available, but 20€/nigh (1.1.2026 onwards) starts to hurt and if paying oneself, it is simply too much. Outside of winter, might as well leave the car on the...

The Hotel is in a very good location. Walking distance to the Railroad station and close to restaurants. Moreover, there is a very good restaurant inside the hotel. Staff is very good and the breakfast is very good as well

Service bad, otherwise nice First a room with baby bed and sofa made to a bed, then a handicapped room. Was not in a mood for a fight, but that combined with not hearing one sorry or apology was not even worth three stars.

Felt a little bit like a prison cell, but I had some time to get back on my feet, since I lost my transport and was on foot, and was lacking sleep. Cameras, entry cards everywhere. Extra safety.

Basic hotel with automatic check-in and self-service access. The door code arrived by email and SMS at 08.00 the morning before arrival. Perfect place to stay for a short while. Located very central, clean room for a cheap price.

A god sleep hotel with small cabins and modern lavitories is all you need. Other services just outside the hotel. A recomended god hotel option for you.

A tidy and functional but small room in a great location close to the train station and city center. Easy check in and check out. The air condition worked well. I liked the firm beds but would've liked the pillows to be bigger and more supportive of the neck (or to have two) Good quality for little money.

Road noise coming into the room was pretty bad.

This hotel is on the opposite side of the city center from the train station. Thus, the location might be so-so. However, other than that, I really like this hotel.

Overall everything went smoothly and the rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. There is a bit of space in the room for three people.

A newer, clean hotel but they will nickel and dime for parking and breakfast, which is €13 extra and €12/person for breakfast.

Staff made sure we had accommodations close to our other party.

Convenient hotel with automated check-in and check-out available. Late arrival was not an issue at all. Simple, but comfortable and clean rooms, our request to be located further away from the elevator was accommodated. Breakfast available.

A very good solution if you want to have a quiet place

Parking is perfect, only a few metres from the Reception. There is an inclusive buffet in the evening, light salad and two hot dishes with vegetables, perfect light healthy meal. Didn't get chance to try the breakfast as I left too early. It's 12 mins from the Airport which opens at 04:30,

Mediocre bed The service and the staff was excellent but the bed was not good. I stayed in a room with a large single bed so hopefully double rooms are more comfortable.

One of The best hotel in finland

Great location near the train station and city center, everything within walking distance. Very clean with a charming boutique vibe. Breakfast was excellent, especially the fresh orange juice and fruit. I really enjoyed my stay and will come back again.

Excellent We had a wonderful 2 room suite for myself, husband, and son. Room was perfect. Buffet breakfast was amazing.

Although the reception was automated (no human), the codes we were provided worked fine and we had no trouble finding our room. The room was very tidy.

Visited this nice and peaceful hostel in the middle of the week. The place was easy to find and find a park for the car, too. The stuff was very nice and pollite.
