We booked a room one day in advance for one night only and found ourselves in a room properly designed for wheelchair persons, got plenty of space but looked like a hospital. Fair enough, we are 8o++ but still play golf and did not find ”at home”.

Nice hotel inside a shopping mall. A hotel situated inside a shopping mall is a first for me. Once I had found my way around I enjoyed the convenience of being able to walk to various shops and cafes. Parking on first floor is limited but plenty of space on the upper floor. Room was bigger than expected with kettle and tea/coffee.

The hotel is different from the usual being located inside a shopping mall. Reception and the breakfast area are separated and on either side of an independent coffee bar. Felt strange wheeling my suitcase through it. There is a limited choice of hotels in Lappeenranta and the Scandic Patria is showing it's age inside and out (like most Scandics). All in all though, it is a good hotel, rooms are comfortable but dated. The location is the main attraction being just 150m from the Harbour Square/Satamatori. Breakfast was good and staff friendly. There is lots of free on-street parking nearby.

Location of the hotel was perfect, there was shops and restaurants near. breakfast was very good too. I have been here in the summer too And the nearby promenade is beautiful then

We Loved Our Stay This was a lovely hotel in a GREAT location. Just a quick walk to restaurants, shops and a waterfront park. The breakfast buffet was exceptional.

Great hotel We only stayed for one night during a trip to visit family, but we were quite impressed with the cleanliness of the room and hotel, plus with the friendliness of staff. The breakfast buffet was superb, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it.

Quite a lot of selection for breakfast. The room is clean and comfortable. Staff is not so friendly, charged price wrongly, and still with some attitude.

Excellent location by lake Imatra with walking paths on the shore. Spa area has several pools, dressing rooms have traditional saunas and there’s one mixed steam sauna in the spa area. One outdoor pool with jacuzzi feature. Breakfast has a wide variety, but very crowded in summertime. Rooms are retro but no complaints. Good value for money overall.

The location is very nice with magnificent views to the lake. The building itself and its interiors are quite outdated, maybe from the 90s. We stayed at the chalet which is a newer addition and was quite nice, but the beds and especially pillows were really poor in there as well. Imatran Kylpylä is in a perfect spot. The SPA area is fantastic and fun to visit. The recreation area, especially the bowling, is a great addition and we enjoyed it a lot. But, the rooms are a big letdown. They seem untouched since the hotel was built, with old furniture and beds that have lost their shape after 20 years. Despite being called "superior," the rooms are far from it and feel very outdated...

Got taken by some software engineers from turku when they came past Lappeenranta on an excursion. This is the first place we went to and I've got to admit quite a weird fun chill place to visit. It feels very 2008 in a nostalgic way for me. I'd recommend visiting but the only downside I can think of is that you need to mortgage your house and sell a kidney to buy more than 3 drinks

Great location in a historically significant area. The breakfast was very good, and the staff were lovely and even our cat was warmly welcomed. Staycation J Karjalainen keikalla kotikaupungissamme. Taksin odottelun välttämiseksi päätimme yöpyä noin viiden kilometrin päässä kotoa. Erinomainen idea jälkikäteen arvosteltuna. Vallan viihtyisä huone sekä sänky. Illalla otimme samassa kiinteistössä sijaitsevasta Fizzasta pizzan ja henkilökunta opasti meitä syömään sen hotellin kahvilassa, hyvä ajatus. Asiallinen aamiainen viimeisteli vierailun.

Very clean and new rooms with air conditioning!

It is quiet ja peacefull. No bars or nightclubs. Airconditioning was the best!

We stayed only one night but it was very pleasant, the room was comfortable and clean. I think it was a nice touch that each room was dedicated to a soldier. We particularly liked the location and it's next to a great pizza place for lunch or dinner.

Weird experience Extremely rude receptionist at the desk when I arrived to check in after a long day of travelling. Overall left me with a very baffled feeling, since everything else in the hotel was good or even excellent. Also amazingly good breakfast.

At the old building site the rooms are cozy, tastefully decorated. View to the lake. Minibar, coffee machine included, the bath is clear. But the shampoo cartridge was empty 😂. The bad is comfortable.

The host very friendly and the extra finnish breakfast there was worth to try. There was a great trail walk nearby along the lake side.

We visited Salpalinjan Hovi in May and were given a tour of the Salpa Line sights by Anne. She was very knowledgable and friedly. The hotel is beautiful. Styled very nicely and with plenty of character. A grest place to spend time.

I've been here with my family for two nights. Anne and Timo are really some of the kindest persons that we've met in Finland. They welcomed us warmly, and offered us all the information about nearby natural trails, attractions in the city and along the road towards our next stop. They also kindly gave us their bikes to reach some of the nicest spots around. Their house is a beautiful mansion immersed...

What a beautiful place. My whole family visited Lappeenranta and all stayed at Salpanlinjan Hovi. Organising a bed for a 1.5 year old toddler upfront via telephone was not a problem. We found that hotel at the midnight. The staff is very professional and friendly. We were greatly appreciated by room and service. I will recommend that place as one of the best that I visited. Despite 3 stars the atmosphere and conditions are super.

Amazing place! Hidden gem in Saimaa region. The big cottage was amaazing, there is 2 saunas to rent (1 floating and 1 normal) plus SUP boards. The owners are amazing, view is great and atmosphere super relaxed. See you next time! 😍

A little bit uncared hotel run by Russian manager who is quite helpful and flexible. He had problems take money from my card but agreed if I just leave money in the room in check out. We arrived after 10 pm but he managed to prepare sauna for us even he has already left) sauna was 10€ per hour. Hotel really knew best times and now is rundown but the price is corresponding low.
