Where to stay in Oravi

It was a very comfortable spacious villa with attached bathrooms. Everything about it was great. Boating/ sauna facilities and location.. very peaceful.

This is good vacation option for group of friends or several families (we were 8 people). We were in second half of August, so we enjoyed from plenty of mushrooms in the forest everywhere. We were in the villa located quite far from others villas (#11). Some other villas are very close each other. Lakeside sauna is good.

It seems like this accommodation would be more enjoyable during a longer stay, perhaps in the summer months. Our visit took place in autumn, and the cloudy, rainy weather somewhat detracted from the experience. The room itself was pleasant. Far but worth it, this is my second time visiting the resort and it looks like they are always upgrading and growing now they have small villas that you can choose to stay in they are fitted with glass in the main bedroom that offers Panasonic view while still in bed Perfect for stargazing The saunas is so cool and one of the oldest saunas that you can enjoy still using wood to heat up

Wonderful place, surrounded by breathtaking nature, great variety of activities to do at the resort and beautiful places at short drive distances. Lovely and very helpful staff too. We are very happy for choosing to satay here for the longest bit of our Finland trip.

This is one of the best places I have stayed. We stayed in a Kuru Lakeside Suite and the view out of the floor to ceiling glass is absolutely stunning. We will try to return in winter as I think it would be even more beautiful. Cannot recommend more highly.

I clearly did not quite know where we were coming to and when I saw the place my jaw literally dropped 😁 We had a very nice small cabin with a view both over the area and over the lake, dinner was really delicious and staff was very friendly. Visiting here comes with rather a high price, but you will also get good service and extraordinary experience that justifies every cent. We are for sure going...

Wonderful campground next to the lake. No lake view, but 1 minute walk to it. The kitchen is useful and fully equipped. We enjoyed our stay. It is not the most appealing to the eyes and the bathroom is very cold, so be prepared to shower warm in an ice cold room. It is close to savonlinna but I would suggest driving. It is almost too far to walk (doable but far).

In the middle of the forest peace cottage, boat and pier. You could swim well from the beach and the pier. There is a playground in the area with enough stuff for 5-year-olds.

Smooth service, answers to questions were received quickly. Neat cottage and yard area, everything you needed was found tiin Were really happy with our family 🙂

The only downside was the beach that grew reeds and hay. It had to be cleared a lot before you could swim. One could not even imagine going into the water from the pier when there were so many plants. However, a good sandy beach was promised. Otherwise quite a lovely setting, your own peace. Cottage nice where 4 people fit really well and found what was needed

The location is super convenient, and the immediate surroundings are beautiful. The standard rooms are okay, but really small and not at all modern. Had I known, I would have taken a superior room. These are comparable in size and standard to Central European standards.

Breakfast is otherwise ok but the juices are now at the extreme of being cheap. Huh huh. Would it be worth leaving out those slops?

Good practical hotel Though a bit dated, this hotel is well maintained and practical. Hotel overall and rooms are kept is good working order and clean. The staff is friendly and professional. Restaurants are nice, especially the old one. One of the best things with this hotel is the location. Especially in summer, the location is beautiful and a nice short walk to center of Savonlinna.

Good! Really good for the price (in May). We will definitely go again when visiting Savonlinna. The only downside is the view from the family room to the courtyard, which is quite bleak.

The staff were super friendly. They even let us check in hours ahead our of time. We got the room with the lake view. It was reslly beautiful. The free breakfast was super delicious. Not to mention that our dog got the best treatment ever. Free treats, also with bed and food bowl for hotel use. Definitely recommend this place when going to savonlinna

Clean and surprisingly spacious rooms; super friendly staff; delicious breakfast with gluten free options, and easy 2-4 hour street parking nearby. Good location - about a half mile walk to Olavinlinna, and restaurants/market right outside the hotel.

we got a very special room with a loft bed and a small stove with an oven which we used for the evening meal. The breakfast was plentiful with a very good croissant in a nearby restaurant.

Location, location, location. This place has it! The hotel building is an old hospital and is situated next to a restaurant called Huvila. It is situated also a walk distance from the town center and from Olavinlinna castle.small cozy rooms with high ceiling and an extra bed "upstairs". Showers and small kitchen included but no AC.

Good service, has a breakfast buffet & public sauna. Room was spacious with beds for 2, an additional torture device is available should one need it, called a sofa bed.

Very basic. The room was a bit messy when we arrived. The aircon doesn't seem to have an off-switch, only a temperature knob. Other than that, nothing to complain about. Very basic, you get what you pay for. I can recommend this.

Rooms quite small and malodorous, then we asked (we were 3 couples) for double rooms but the beds were divided...the door of the room was a little bit broken (there was an hairline crack so it wasn't well closed). Breakfast in the norm.

Good offer for it’s price. Old historical buildings brings romantic atmosphere. Also it’s located on the first line next to lake beach, and 3 minutes walk to the castle. The only disadvantages were spider webs and cockroaches in the room. Also quite a poor choice in the hotel’s restaurant. Anyway, a good variant for 3 stars.

Had a great stay at this property. The hotel has a rich history. The staff is helpful and welcoming. Breakfast is really good. There is hotel parking as well as free street parking in front. Rooms are cozy in general, but I found the bathroom a bit compact. It is very close to all major attractions. Definitely recommend this hotel and will visit again.

One of those places. Historical building and the theme is kept alive but without much TLC for it. The rooms are ok ... expect a 3 star standard. Obviously, we came in the low season and the hotel adjusts to the whole city, which goes straight from the 3 months of summertime into full hibernation. Hospitz Hotel is one of the best we visited. Caring hospitality, very comfortable room and the location is fantastic. The hotel has over 100 year history, it feels like a museum. The breakfast with waffles was very tasty! Thanks Hospitz for hosting us!

Nice little apartment. Own toilet and bathroom. Breakfast was included and it was quite sufficient. Short walk to downtown. Car parking. Friendly service.

We are staying at this place for the second time. We and our friends love it here. An excellent, secluded place with magnificent nature and a comfortable home with all amenities. We visit for the second time in August. Gathering mushrooms, berries, fishing. A good bath, steamed every day and swam in the cleanest lake. This year the water was very warm for these latitudes, warming up to 21-22 degrees...

Good price quality. Easy to come. A lot is included in the price, which is a plus. Anyway, a good cottage complex with two cottages and a clean yard. I could go again.

Great place! Everything is perfect here

Room (Lauri) was spacious and individually decorated. It had everything that we needed. Big bed was very good. Service was excellent, apartment keeper called us in advance and checked things related to reservation. Short distance from Savonlinna and easy to drive to opera and back.

Friendly staff and clear instructions for arrival. Well equipped kitchen. Small private toilet and shower room, which were separate from each other.

We booked spontaneously, everything worked smoothly. Large rooms with living area and own kitchen. Toilet and shower are shared in the hallway. On request we got a great breakfast basket and were allowed to use the sauna for little money. Value for money absolutely great and the hostess was extremely friendly.

Worth the price for overnight standing.
