Hotel & Spa Resort Järvisydän in Rantasalmi

Simple yet luxurious. The customer service was professional and exceptional across all the services we used.

Normally I avoid scrambled eggs at hotel breakfasts because they tend to be bland, but Järvisydän truly exceeded my expectations — it was the best scrambled eggs I’ve ever had.

While I expected a bit more variety on the breakfast table, there was something for everyone. I especially appreciated the clear, easy-to-follow instructions on the waffle machine.

We also enjoyed a wine tasting with three different white wines, each paired perfectly with suitable snacks.

Regarding the suite, I noticed some imperfections: cracked or peeling ceiling stickers and floors showing visible water damage. However, these didn’t affect our overall stay.

At night, it was difficult to see much due to cloudy skies and the brightness of the August nights.

We participated in a sound bowl yoga session at the Kota resort, which was wonderfully relaxing. It was more about listening and being present than performing intense poses, it was a perfect way to unwind and stay in the moment with harmonious sounds.

The spa was under maintenance during our one-night stay, but based on our experience, I would definitely visit again.

The spa is nice. Breakfast was good too. I have a wonderful 2 nights stay.

It seems like this accommodation would be more enjoyable during a longer stay, perhaps in the summer months. Our visit took place in autumn, and the cloudy, rainy weather somewhat detracted from the experience.

The room itself was pleasant. However, the transfer between our cabin and the center proved a bit challenging, particularly in the rain. Despite the availability of a shuttle bus, we lacked a timetable and were obliged to wait outside, often in the rain, to catch it. The spa was adequate, though perhaps not ideal for those accustomed to warmer water temperatures, especially for individuals from tropical countries. Due to Scandinavian regulations, the water temperature is limited to a maximum of 30 degrees Celsius, which may not feel particularly warm when the outside temperature is cold.

Far but worth it, this is my second time visiting the resort and it looks like they are always upgrading and growing now they have small villas that you can choose to stay in they are fitted with glass in the main bedroom that offers Panasonic view while still in bed

Wonderful place, surrounded by breathtaking nature, great variety of activities to do at the resort and beautiful places at short drive distances. Lovely and very helpful staff too. We are very happy for choosing to satay here for the longest bit of our Finland trip.

Wow, such an amazing place! Our standard room was far from standard, it was beautiful! Plus everything we needed and more. The spa was unreal! Paradise! The seal tour was so enjoyable, even though we didn't see any seals, sadly. It's a shame we couldn't stay longer as there are so many activities on offer and many more interesting places to stay. Would definitely go back and would recommend to anyone.

This is one of the best places I have stayed. We stayed in a Kuru Lakeside Suite and the view out of the floor to ceiling glass is absolutely stunning. We will try to return in winter as I think it would be even more beautiful. Cannot recommend more highly.

I clearly did not quite know where we were coming to and when I saw the place my jaw literally dropped 😁 We had a very nice small cabin with a view both over the area and over the lake, dinner was really delicious and staff was very friendly. Visiting here comes with rather a high price, but you will also get good service and extraordinary experience that justifies every cent. We are for sure going to visit here again.

The place was very beautiful and atmosphere was amazing. Food was better than average but not wow. Breakfast buffet was really crowded and the buffet tables were in too small area. The place is not really for kids and not for people who struggle with moving. Also the spa was nice (the romantic evening) and quiet but in the end it was quite meh 😕 and way too expensive. Our Forrest suite was amazing and that we really loved 😍.
