NordWest-Hotel Bad Zwischenahn in Bad Zwischenahn

We’ve been on a month long road trip, stayed in 14 different places around Europe. This was sadly by far the worst experience. The room itself was basic and clean and we had a good night sleep. The hotel would have deserved 3 stars, unless... At breakfast I noticed my cereal cup was very busy with some kind of worms or insects!! The cereal was taken from a container, which obviously was packed with this ‘live food’. I called the waiter, who apologized and took the plate away. Next the manager (?) comes and I’m asked to show which container (of the 8) I had used and they immediately took them away. Great. Except that they entirely forgot the customer. It was an appalling and disgusting experience and I would have expected someone to come and approach me later. To express that they are sorry, to offer something trying to make up for it, but no. Nothing. Nothing at all. We checked out 30 minutes later and the same lady who asked which canisters the cereal was from, was at the front desk. She mentioned nothing, no apology, in fact this was he only time at checks out I wasn’t even asked how was the stay! Why? Because she did not dare, I bet, and decided to bury the issue. I could have said something, but it would have been her job. Not the customer’s. They already knew what had happened to me. I had nothing else to say to them. But for other travelers - they may clean the cereal containers from animals, but as long as the service and customer care is as inferior as it is, you don’t’ want to waste your money here. The world - and the TripAdvisor - is full of options!
