The views were amazing. The room was comfortable but the bed was slightly harder than I like. The food we had was delicious and if you have to eat gluten free then the choice is tremendous. We stayed here twice. My wife is highly intolerant of gluten and we ate both dinner and breakfast there without any issues.

Located in the heights not far from the autobahn. Beautiful scenery around this beautiful hotel. The hotel has been updated recently so the restaurant and bar are quite modern. the hotel was right next to a beautiful park and in short walking distance to the city centre. Everything was so fine, the room much bigger than expected and breakfast was just with everything you could dream of.. and parking at the hotel.. and a very friendly and helpful staff. There was a spa area but we were only staying for one night, så we didn't use it.

I've stayed here several times. It's located in the center of Baunatal, next to an Aldi supermarket. The hotel's overall decor is a bit dated, but the room I stayed in this time was newly renovated. The carpet in the hallway, however, looked a bit old.

Having done a 9hour drive we wanted a bed for the night and something to eat and a glass of wine to unwind, so I booked 3 hours before arrival whilst in the car. what ******* does not mention is the restaurant and bar is shut on the weekend, so ended up with a local takeaway, that was shocking. A huge hotel recently built. Very clean and great accommodation. My only issue is their surprising lack of handicap parking. Everything else was fabulous.

We had trouble checking in and the receptionist ran our credit card 3 times before finally figuring out that she kept canceling the transaction. She was apologetic in the end but in the moment it was stressful. The hotel itself is a strange set up and reminded me more of dormitories than a proper hotel. This hotel is in a quiet location. Parking is free outside the hotel and in the car park next to it. The rooms are very large and exceptionally clean. For a 3 star hotel it really is on the upper level. The rooms are not brand new but all clean, so are the bathrooms. The beds are a bit squeaky but not uncomfortable. Breakfast is solid and offers all an average person might want. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. My four stars don't make it a 4 star hotel but a good 3 star hotel.

Very nice hotel, close to the Autobahn, short time between trips in and out of Kassel's centre. The employees are very helpful and there is a big parking lot in the back. The area is quiet. Second time staying at the hotel and very likely to return.

We expected the worst, being a hotel at a truck stop, but it was the cleanest, most comfortable hotel during our trip. The rooms are nothing fancy but are spacious, working aircon and everything was fresh and clean. Quiet too! Free parking and lots of chargers right in front of the hotel. Pets are welcome too which is just great.

We needed to take a stopover on a longer drive and this was the perfect hotel with a small kid for a reasonable price. The rooms were exceptionally clean with all the basics and a comfy bed (baby bed was offered but we did not need it). My room was fairly basic, sort of 70s style, clean but uninspiring. Has EV charging but you need your own Type 2 cable. Highlight was the evening meal which was veal with excellent horseradish sauce. Breakfast was OK but unlikely to make one euphoric. Overall a *** experience as classified.

The room was above my expectation with plenty of space for two motorcyclists and all their touring gear. the beds were comfy though I do think quite a few hotels in Europe struggle with the concept of two separate beds as opposed to two separated beds for two unrelated adult males. The best Pension ever! Super clean and organized, rooms are big, beds very comfortable. Although you have to share the shower and bathroom (which they have many to can choose from) they are super clean and also big. I have not seen this quality for that price in “fancier hotels“. We didn't stay overnight, but we had dinner there. If you like a cozy, classic atmosphere with an 80s charm, like we do, then this is the place for you. They serve hearty, home-style cooking, and plenty of it. The food is excellent and the prices are very reasonable. Add a refreshing lager, and the evening is perfect. We'll be back. I'm looking forward to the beer garden in the summer.

Large and clean rooms and a nice breakfast. Rooms facing the back may run a little hit in the afternoon sun. The biergarten at the back provides cold beer and large and freshly made meals.

Booked the hotel for a layover night on a longer car trip and only picked the hotel for its cheap price and because was it on my route. Against my expectations the room was very large, clean and it had a very good bed. The hotel staff was friendly and spoke perfect English.

We had a nice stay. It would however be nice with a bit more information on the website regarding opening hours. The sauna is turned on in the afternoon, so if you're checking in late and only stay for one night, you don't have the opportunity of using the facilities. The restaurant was great and we had a really nice waiter.

The food was delicious. We were served by two women, the first one wasn't friendly and didn't feel like serving us. After a while we got another employee. We felt much more comfortable with her because she knew something about service and friendliness. The selection of dishes was sufficient.

We stayed here last week of June ( 3 nights ,me and my wife) , in Kassel for Documenta , we loved this hotel , lets note that the hotel is under construction , expansion , adding floors and new entrance , new dinning area , etc . The Hotel Palmenbad offers a very nice option: very good location near Wilhelmshöhe Park, tram in front of the building and good parking. The building is old but overall in good condition. The rooms have the odd scratch but that doesn't really bother you. The facilities are good, there are Nespresso machines...

It is suitable for hiking. It is 4 kilometers away from the city, but the surrounding area is really beautiful. At the foot of the mountain, there is a small trail opposite that leads to the top of the mountain. It is very suitable for hiking.
