Many people are saying the reception service is great. However, when the automatic check in outside didn’t work, we asked the receptionist. At first we tried speaking English but he didn’t understand. Seemed like he didn’t want to understand. We then tried speaking German which he understood. He didn’t bother checking us in and instead referred us back to the machine outside. I thought that was part of a receptionist job. Please do better. Oh and here is a picture of a bug in my room!

Best hotel I have ever visited. It was simply amazing. I arrived at 3:33 AM. The Check-in machine worked. It was simply amazing. I decided to also talk to the receptionist. Im pretty sure he was billingual. He spoke english but also a bunch of others. He was also open to help me with whatever questions and/or concerns I had. I will definetely be coming back. Wow

I can’t begin to describe my disappointment… The staff — especially the mean old grandpa with the big nose — where strongly unwilling to help, we needed to check in at the reception as the machine outside wasn’t working. He snared and told us to shoo. He then started to mumble mean words in German and closed the reception shutters so we had no way of coming back for help. When I went to the loo there was dust on it, probably means it hasn’t been cleaned for a while… They supplied cleaning wipes but I thought cleaning those things are what they are paying the cleaners to do, no?

Arrived late with family and had booked 2 rooms. Could not get the machine check in to work with the two rooms.
Asked in the reception for help. They guy could not (would not) understand my problem in English and was incredible dismissive. He clearly did not want to waste his time on customer service and refused to help and told me to just go try again.
Never coming back here again.
Strangely the doors from the public into the B&B are unlocked and anybody can walk in after the reception has closed. It seems unsafe.

Very nice people at the reception. Rooms are comfortable, silent and cleaned. Parkplace all around the building. Good breakfast

We have been staying in this hitw for the past 6 years during our trips to Poland. Great location, lovely room and amazing shower.

Decor was nice, and so were the rooms. However, the location is far from any public transit (15 min cab ride from Documenta), and the building has NO ELEVATOR. We had to carry heavy luggage up and down 4 flights of stairs. I would not choose to stay here again given the location and lack of elevator. Most staff were helpful with one exception.
