I went to the Alte Schmiede restaurant in Jork on 08/20/21 with my wife and my in-laws and we all enjoyed it very much. We were welcomed very friendly on site and shown to our table. We were also served very friendly and attentive afterwards. The starter platter was good and plentiful and we also enjoyed our respective main dishes very much.

I was there with friend and we was more than satisfied with everything, great dishes and great personel.

The Room is small and only has a single Bed with a small TV. The Bed is comfortable. The breakfast is a bit spartan es well so I'd say the hotel is a bit overpriced.

Nice hotel! It is a cozy, quiet hotel. On a quiet road. The rooms are small, when you close the curtain you can hardly get past it to go to the toilet. Very nice, hard beds and a good shower. You can park your car in front of the door, always a place. There is a very nice Italian restaurant nearby, Atoll. Highly recommended!

Okay for a quick stopover We stopped here on our drive through Germany. An older hotel, but it was clean and it worked fine for a night. The breakfast was nothing special, but I have had worse before.

First- There is no air conditioning or ceiling fan. It was cool at night, but the air doesn’t get in unless you lose all privacy. Room is typically small, but manageable, also clean. Pillows were ridiculously soft. We did not get the breakfast, there are cafes nearby. There is also a Rewe across the street for snacks etc. The office is not manned 24 hours. The main mattress was very uncomfortable, I could feel the inner metal parts, and dirty underneath, I had to pull out the little one from below to sleep on it. Also, nobody on reception the hole weekend.

The hotel is far away, but you can take a boat, which adds some fun. There are several supermarkets nearby, which is convenient for shopping. The room and bed are very old, resulting in poor sound insulation and the mattress is too soft.

Small things were missing, and attention to detail was lacking; for example, there was no bottle of water even though there was a refrigerator. It's more suitable for business trips. Bathroom smelled for a few days like sewage and when we mentioned it we didn’t hear „ I’m sorry“ it was just acknowledged and „we are sending a technician“. Hotel def has issues with drains and smell in bathrooms.

The restaurant had excellent food but the service went from really bad to really good : Lunch took 2 hours, the bar tender took 15 to pour a draft beer, checkin took 20 minutes, workmen in the hallway started before .8;00am. I booked a hotel room for my mother and the hotel staff were very helpful and very friendly. The rooms were always kept clean. The hotel's location is very near the metro station and there are a lot of shops and restaurants with a 15 minute walk to Altona. Overall, it is a very good hotel if you are planning to book a room just to sleep in while you spend the rest of the day being outside.

I was very impressed with this hotel. The rooms and building look a little dated, but this wasn't an issue for me.
