Fancy and nice , great rooms , (maybe a bit grumpy In the reception ,but people can have a bad day I guess) The restaurant is very good (got to try the ox checks ❤️❤️)a bit pricey but worths every euro , the breakfast is also very vey good Dog friendly :)

The staff were very friendly and accommodated our needs. The breakfast buffet had everything you needed to start off your day. This was our second time staying at this hotel.

Great hotel. The location was ideal and the staff were excellent. One gentleman, I assume the manager, was extremely helpful. The food was also wonderful.

The review comes one year later but we had a great time during our stay at this hotel and wanted to make this known. The room we had was decent. We also want to highlight having one of the best breakfasts so far in a perfect atmosphere. I wish all hotels could offer such a way to start the day!

Charming hotel in a lovely city Cozy hotel with a very friendly and helpful staff in the middle of an incredibly charming city. Could have been more thoroughly cleaned and the bed/pillows were not the softest things you'll experience. We experienced great service and the location in the oldtown of Güstrow was lovely.

I stayed here for one night whilst visiting friends. The rooms were clean and tidy and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a good choice and was well laid out. It is in the centre so there are bar and restaurants a short walk away. All in all a pleasant stay. Thanks

We ended up in Hotel Altstadt out of interest for the artist Ernst Barlach and were a bit apprehensive when arriving by train to Guestrow. We were pleasantly surprised, the hotel is friendly and comfortable, and our room was of a good size with excellent beds. We slept very well. Breakfast was varied and good. The hotel is centrally located in the town and we were able to walk to most sights.

Very clean and quiet. Good breakfast buffet. Good location. Safe secure bicycle storage.

A very nice little hotel in a great location and with a very good breakfast.

A really great halfway stop at the hotel. The facilities were good and clean, and the price was reasonable. Everything we needed was nearby and easy to access, plus there was a large, clean, fenced-in play area for dogs with toys. The friendly person at the hotel didn't speak much English, but that didn't slow us down at all; we managed everything just fine with Google Translate. Of course, as a non...

No wheelchair access tho. Staff speak very little English, but were very pleasant. Super plus points that it is a pet-friendly establishment, there is a fenced-in dog training park on the premises.

Great tent camping in hotel grounds. The staff were very helpful particularly Ms. Schmidts. Buffet restaurant on site great meal for €20. Breakfast for 7. Highly recommend.

This place is very close (walking distance) to the very cool Wildpark and the Oase swimming pool. Both places are great for children of all ages. It is a drive into the town centre to see the Barlach ehibition in the Gertrudenstraße and the "Schwebende" in the Güstrow Dom.

It looks rather bad on the outside (combination of camping, hotel, steakhouse and zoo). But don't let the outside fool you.. The food was affordable and really good, I ate a cheeseburger with fries and it was tasty and generously large. The beers are affordable and the schnaps are served ice cold and tasty. I was here on business and think it's a nice house with a very nice innkeeper. My absolute highlight, however, is the vegan selection, which was specially arranged for me on day two. As I travel a lot and this hasn't happened to me once before - although I mention that I'm vegan - I really appreciate it and am very grateful! class 👍

Nice and cozy hotel with typical German breakfast for acceptable price.

The hotel staff were really good. Breakfast was great and the dinner at restaurant was just perfect. The hotel has a very nice spa with a small swimming pool ( a bit too small for my taste). But the best thing was actually the amazing lake really close the hotel which was very nice. I will defiantly return.

Very clean and updated hotel. Spacious rooms in quiet surroundings. Excellent restaurant with local specialities. Warm, cozy indoor pool and sauna area. Fantastic breakfast with many choices. Highly recommend this hotel for a weekend away or longer!

Good reception despite the congestion. Clean and large room, dim lights. The bathroom is large and clean. A separate bag with towels for visiting the sauna. Good breakfast. The friendly atmosphere was palpable throughout the visit.
