The breakfast was excellent. The friendly and competent service is also recommendable. I really did enjoy my stay and will return for other stays in the future.

It is a well equipped, big hotel complex, conveniently located in walking distance to central Hagen. Interior is a bit aged, but still in good shape and clean. Hotel staff are very friendly.

My room 204 has not enough light when dark outside. An additional artificial light at the entrance or been switched at the entrance would be helpfull. As well as in the bathroom...

The hotel premises and the staff are great, but the room is too basic

Seems to be quite run down - rooms are OK, but lack ventilation / AC. Sticky bed lamp switches & surfaces, bed sheets are not super clean either. The only good thing is breakfast - but only in comparison with the hotel itself.

It’s pretty convenient,walkable to train station & shopping. Safe , nearby police station . Cleans room every other day . Staff are friendly. Breakfast is included, it’s good . Could have helped greatly if water is provided , a bottle a day at least for guests. The water in the lobby is not replenished.during the day .

The room was super clean and has everything I needed for the trip. The personel there were very nice. The breakfast is great. Love it! Btw,the place is only 3-4 minutes walk from the main station, which makes it very convenient. To the city, where the nice restaurants are, one would walk about 5-10 minutes.

Overall, the accommodation was OK for an overnight stay. On arrival, you were told to hand in your room key when you leave the hotel. However, this seems unsafe, as there is no safe in the single room. The reception was not manned in the evening when I returned to the hotel and wanted my room key back. There was no notice at the reception and the keys were freely accessible, only a camera on the ceiling...

Really nice stay. Really enjoyed our stay here. Came for the football and everyone in the town made us very welcome. Hotel were really helpful and couldn’t thank them enough.

If you see fit to pay the former industrial town a visit this is a good place to stay. Comfortable beds, roomy bathroom and a nice breakfast. The reception will help you find your way around should you need it. Try to explore the surroundings, the city centre offers less charms. Recommended.

Welcoming and caring family business We're staying at Hotel Lex every time we're in the area and can confirm that everybody is being welcomed catered and cared for from the outset. The location is conveniently central and in walking distance from the station. The breakfast is rich and the rooms are larger than normal. Strongly recommended!

Would have been 5 stars but for some inconsiderate drunk guests, making so much noise a couple of times throughout the night in the corridors and foyer. Surprised they weren’t approached by staff. Otherwise… Rooms were lovely, hotel was great and staff super friendly. Breakfast buffet was well catered and great selection. Fantastic hotel.

Great basic hotel that ticks all the boxes - immaculately clean and well appointed. Comfy beds, great showers and quiet rooms. Breakfast in the bakery next door is a little cheaper than the hotel. Bus stop right outside the hotel to get to Hagen easily

My stay at Campushotel was very pleasant. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the service was good.

Clean, comfortable room and lovely ensuite bathroom. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and the housekeeping is excellent. The room had a well stocked and reasonably priced minibar, which was useful. The onsite cafe offers a good selection of food. Overall excellent value!

Great place to stay if you need to be close to the university. It's just 2 minutes walk. I've stayed there a few times and will definitely choose it again if happen to be in Hagen. Very clean rooms, look newly renovated and modern. Friendly staff always ready to help. Possibility to check in late at night using terminal.

For the price, I think it is a very good hotel. For 9€ buffet breakfast is cheap but they don't have lunch or dinner. I would recommend and would stay again.

Absolutely superb place with wonderful design and great atmosphere. An experience not to be missed.

Little hotel comparable in style tot premier Inn or a larger bed and breakfast. Kind staff, good and clean rooms. Surprisingly good given the quarter of the town it's located in. Have private parking. Suited for business travelers and families with small kids if you are traveling through (again, the quarter leaves something to be desired for, but don't let that stop you visiting the hotel).

Excellent stay at SAXX Hotel “Am Theater Karree”! The hotel is modern, very clean, and well maintained. The room was comfortable, stylish, and spotless. The location is perfect, with easy access to the city center and nearby attractions. The staff were friendly, professional, and always helpful. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Starting with the receptionist who was exceptionally mannered and well dressed to the room that was squeaky clean with no smell! Which is absolutely important for me. I'm very happy with the entire service and I highly recommend it.

Clean and safe. Excellent service. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay at this hotel again if I had the chance to visit Hagen, Germany. However, it's a bit far from the train station.

The hotel is very new, and the breakfast was excellent, featuring freshly made fried eggs. The long-haired young man at the front desk was very helpful, assisting me in purchasing parking tickets from the self-service parking ATM on the street. I would definitely stay here again!

We were here for one night and it is very centrally located! We were able to check-in with the staff thankfully because after 15:00 there was no more staff (on a Saturday). You would have to check-in via an app/browser. This is something to be aware of as I’ve seen other customers coming in struggling to check-in. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Unfortunately there was no fridge in the room...

Very beautiful hotel in the countryside but still close to Hagen city centre. Bedrooms are comfortable with spectacular view…unfortunately i did not have the chance to taste the restaurant as closed. Special remark to the kindness of the hosts (and their beautiful dogs)

The owners have converted an old cinema to a very comfortable and modern hotel. The staff can't be more helpful, lots of nice touches e.g. fresh flowers in bathroom and dining room. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was cold fare, but scrambled eggs were offered and enjoyed. Located close to station and centre and reasonably priced too. Lovely indeed.

The room was fine, certainly for the price. Comfortable beds. Staff was very friendly. We had some problems checking in, because most of the time there is nobody at reception. We arrived early in the afternoon. People coming out of the hotel held the door for us. There where already 2 other guests waiting. After 15 minutes, still nobody at reception. We decided to go into town and come back later....

A small charming, low price, family run hotel 25 minutes from Dortmund city. The breakfast could have been a little bit more protein filled or cheaper (I missed the bacon and sausages). Big free parking place. Very clean and quiet.

I had a stay for one night. What I found here was a cosy family business, welcoming people, that were kind and patient with me as I didn't speak German. Food is also good, place is quiet, rooms are clean. It's a bit outdated if anything but for me, that is part of It's charm.

The cancellation service has been great. I couldn't travel because Germany has Covid restrictions in place and I had no problems at all. I hope to visit then later and pay them back twice :)

Hotel Good & easily accessible. Good house keeping & well maintained.

The staff are friendly but the rooms need a lot of work. There was no where to put or hang your clothes. The bathroom was small and it was difficult to watch the TV. Restaurant was very good.

The apartment of Simon is close to the city center and the room was very good and clean. The host is a very friendly and helpful person, with whom you can even play some snooker games! I would recommend this apartment to anyone, who is looking for a place to stay for some days in Hagen! Gerne wieder!
