I am staying at Sauerländer Hof on a regular basis. The rooms are great, there is plenty of parking and it is a good start for a bike trip or a walk. The hosts are extremely friendly and always trying to make your stay perfect. When I am in the area, I always try to stay there. Also try the restaurant, very tasty.

5* service of the personnel and owners. Very accommodating and friendly restaurant. Our room was lovely but not all rooms are renovated. Only downside was the location at a busy road. Insulation of the rooms is good but when you cannot open a window without car noise day and night. Would definitely come here again for the fantastic service and lovely owners.

A wonderful hotel with fantastic hosts who couldn't do enough for us. The food was amazing and mostly homemade. I cannot rate this hotel highly enough. It was a shame we were only staying for 3 nights.

Super-duper! We spontaneously visited Haus Florian for one night and were thrilled with the cleanliness of the rooms, the great, rich breakfast and the friendliness of the owners. Very obliging! We had forgotten our cell phone charging cable and the boarding house manager searched half the village on her bike to hand it over to us. Thank you very much again!

The hotel rooms meet the basic needs and are attractively priced. The place is clean and the staff is very friendly. I can recommend the beer garden for drinks, but I was disappointed with the food. Frozen pads out of the deep fryer can make a mediocre schnitzel, but the burgers are a disgrace.

Good room with enough facilities, but the cleaning service is not good as 4 stars hotel. Also the pool area is not so clean and the pool has not really good filters as well. The breakfast is good and serves in a cozy place.

Small but lovely hotel. Super friendly people, always helpful. Breakfast is small but very good. Centrally located in Winterberg and not far from the Karussell ski lift; it's an easy walk.

The entire house is super clean, a great breakfast with delicious coffee. Special requests are largely fulfilled. The garden is very well-maintained with plenty of seating. The owners are very friendly. Drinks can be ordered almost anytime. Excellent value for money! Just a few minutes' walk from the market square/town center with its many restaurants, cafés, and bars, some of which serve hot meals...

We spend a long weekend here at the end of May, it was delightful! The owners were incredibly welcoming, they serve great breakfast with fresh produce. The location is perfect for staying in Winterberg: there are shops, cafes and restaurants around, the train station is 15 mins walking. Overall highly recommend!

We liked the room and the breakfast. We had a nice place for breakfast with a view of the garden. The hosts are friendly and accommodating. The location is ideal: close to the city center, but still quietly located on a side street. A supermarket is around the corner.

Really nice hotel with great rooms, services (people and equipment) and food. Location is practical, in the village, a little away from the ski slopes (but a free shuttle service is provided or access by car is very fast).

Very beautiful hotel, with spacious and comfortable rooms. My kids were very pleased by the little details reserved for them such as kids slippers and kids personal care kit with special shower gel, shampoo, body lotion and a wet cleaning paper just for them. The service was excellent and the location is great. We went to the spa and it was clean and curated. Really enjoyed the stay.

Great place to stay for skiing in the Sauerland. The Big Egg building is iconic, the views from the rooms are great, the huge jacuzzi is fantastic after skiing or hiking, and the indoor pool has a diving board and a slide. There is an outdoor pool also but it was winter when I was there. The breakfast buffet is great. Bar was nice and had good wine. Good restaurant options within walking distance...

Great hotel just at the end of downtown Winterberg. Beautiful views of the area. The spa area is huge and very nice. I did not care for the strange ergonomic pillows but that's just a personal preference. We got stuck for a short time in the elevator so be aware. The breakfast buffet is really nice.

I was there for a one-day yoga workshop from the online yoga course. The resort is impressive! The food was excellent. The service was outstanding and very friendly. I would also like to check out the rooms and other amenities.

Is very centrally located in Medebach, you can do a lot on foot. What I personally missed: Minibar, safe and possibly kettle, which can now be found in almost every hotel. What I liked: The push in the bathroom under the sink, someone thought of us women🤗 And no carpet, I find it very hygienic 👍🤗 There are enough parking spaces. The VW dealer has an e-charging station just across the street.

Very limited parking and in noisy area

Thank you for some wonderful days at your hotel. The friendly and cozy vibe made our stay a nice and relaxing experience. The Staff was at all time to our servic. The hotel was clean and the wellness area with the pool and saunas was also great. The food was good, and the winery had a fine selection of wine from different areas.

The rooms are nice and clean but the mattresses were far too soft. We didn't sleep well at all. Friendly lady at the breakfast buffet. The lady of the house is quite brisk and not very helpful. The small pool was cold, not 29 degrees as advertised (20 max). Unfortunately on both days the bar closed at 8pm so we couldn't grab a drink after dinner. We tried to book dinner for the second day but it wasn...

The location is excellent (but be aware that parking space is limited), rooms are a little bit outdated, but OK. The service is really bad, especially the owners are very unfriendly when you have an extra wish (e.g., fried eggs for breakfast) or small complaints (e.g., toilet flush is not working correctly). I suggest to find another alternative if possible.

Hotel room comes with free access to the indoor swimmingpool, turkish steambath, infrared sauna and regular swedish sauna. Very relaxing. Situated right in the center of Winterberg.

The room was spacious, nice breakfast, lovely pool.

All together it wasn't very bad. However the waitress was not very pleasant and simple refused to speak English, she also had no patients what so ever and made the whole experience Al lot less pleasant. The food tasted pretty good, presentation was ok, but not as good as it used to be. The old school German taste wasn't very much there. Not the classic German vinegar salad that we used to love here...

Great place to stay in summer, when prices are literally half compared with wintertime. Great spacious room and a comfortable swimming pool.

One big problem was the lack of a dedicated ski boot room ( there was only an improvised solution). Also, the glutenfree bread in the morning was served only sparingly.

Excellent staff, rooms were roomy and bright, a bit worn, not too bad. Some noise from street and building construction, also not too bad. Great breakfast..staff was outstanding.

Centrally located, 10 minutes walk to the ski resort, there is another MONKEYLAND also 15 minutes walk. The on-site restaurants and bars have a variety of styles and tastes good. There is parking on site.

You can read my tips and opinions in the reviews. Definitely recommended, the Sauerland and the hotel are worth a trip, especially on a motorbike.

Room was big and clean enough. Breakfast was basic but fine. The bar and restaurant were good.

After having visited and stayed at several accommodations in and around Winterberg, the Central-Hotel stands out; thanks to their food, service and the 10/10 location.

Lovely week in a nice park. Swimming pool and whirlpool are amazing. And they have a lovely room for kids to play. Be prepared to take your luggace skyhigh before you can enjoyed the rest of a holiday ^^.

Nice location, apartment was ok. The pull out sofa bed was horrible and the “normal” beds were also not that great (very hard mattresses and short for a tall guy) Chairs, especially on the balcony were really hard and uncomfortable.

The location is brilliant if you come to ski as the lifts and rental places are a 5 minute drive, otherwise there's not a lot of indoor activities, were you with children. The rooms are modern, new, well-equipped and very comfortable with great heating (coming from the UK it's a blessing). The pool and the outdoor hot tubs are nice but cold, not quite for a pleasant swim or splash with friends/kids...

We stayed at the Hapimag resort last weekend and enjoyed the upgraded/renewed appartments. Perfect location in Winterberg with close proximity to the city center and sportanlage. The renewed appartments are very cleean, solid and excellent beds. The houses could use some new paint on the outside

Very friendly staff, and they have their private parking. No need to reserve. They are situated near a tunnel under the centre of Winterberg, so if you walk up the side of the tunnel you are right in the centre! And the hotel is really near the main road. Very convenient.

Nice and beautiful place and clean

A nice cosy place with beautiful views and close to town and the slopes. Unfortunately no microwave or coffee (perculator only) and apartment smelling of sigaret smoke was a turn-off. We'll stay elsewhere next time.

Nice little apart hotel right at the ski resort/bike park Winterberg. Very friendly staff/owner, great selection of breakfast buffet and cosy little rooms. Service is solid, rooms are clean and modern, a place to securely store bikes or skiing equipment is available. Parking right at the spot. Close to the city too. Full recommendation.

An amazing experience that we will not soon forget! The hotel's location is perfect for a nice walk to attractions in Winterberg (Shopping area, Ski Lifts, Rodelbahn, Hiking Trails, etc.), and a short drive to surrounding towns with other attractions (swimming, mini-golf, boating, etc.). The staff is very kind and the rooms are very clean and and with 8 beds you can accommodate many people. The one bad thing is the wifi as there is a poor signal throughout the entire hotel. Edit: I should've complained about the wifi so that was on me and it wasn't really bad outside of the room.

Location top, dinners great. Kids friendly, however the kids club they could improve a bit, very small and outdated in my view. Kids buffet can be improved, it was everyday chicken and friet, could add some pasta and beef, carrots, etc. Please be aware that it is a Dutch place.:) Rooms a bit small. Went during winter. Nice hotel, breakfast and diner were also good. Sauna is very beautiful and nice. We booked a 2 person room and also used the ski/snowboarddepot that was included. However, when you have a snowboard and skis, 1 pair of shoes will NOT fit in the locker. The depot is really small when you have a 2 person room. We addressed this to the reception and were allowed to bring the boots...

Location of the Hotel is great, right next to ski lifts. Breakfast and dinner were also great, very well organized. In the morning we would chose our dinner menu. Kids are getting crayons and coloring papers before dinner. Nice pool area. Spacious rooms. Very friendly staff.

The hotel is very nice and has a good restaurant. After initially moving into a not-so-nice room (which, according to the nice owner, is now being changed), upon request we were offered another, really great room at no extra cost. Great stay - great thing!

Warm and friendly welcome and also very friendly staff. .The breakfast buffet is well extensive. Very tasty food working with fresh products and spices. That experiment, I recommend it to everyone to take half board, is great.👌👌And our dog was very welcome.

We had a nice stay. The real Sauerland breakfast was rich and delicious. The family-run hotel is very clean. Well-kept and spacious rooms. The city center and a hiking trail can be reached in just a few minutes.

We were there in mid-December and we really enjoyed it. As soon as we arrived in front of the house, we were totally amazed by the whole ambience, how lovingly it was decorated, how beautiful everything was, really a dream. The family that runs the house, the employees, everyone is so nice, friendly and helpful that you just don't want to leave. I then booked an upgrade to the suite as a little surprise...
