This hotel is very beautiful, but food is very limited with little variety. The breakfast was just different types of granola, eggs, lunch meat, and rolls! No toast or pastries which was very odd. The restaurant at night offers salads, fish, and chicken all with risotto which was also bizarre since most German food comes with potatoes. Besides lacking in food choices, this hotel has tons of stairs...

Will do for one night stay. Nice hotel in the middle of nowhere. Friendly staff. Room basic, no doors to the bathroom.... No WiFi in the room. Hot breakfast rather limited.

It was one night stay doing long drive through the europe, but we liked and will go next time for longer. Big and tidy rooms , wonderful stuff. Wonderful countryside views. Positive

Very friendly staff, they did everything to make our stay memorable. We travelled with two dogs, and they were really kind to them too. Excellent food in the restaurant that really exceeded our expectations. Vegetarian and even vegan options, which is not a given in Germany. Beautiful location in a little village surrounded by hills and forests. In summary: highly recommended!

Always very good and nice hosts, unfortunately it will no longer exist under the old management. A lot will change. We wish the previous owners all the best and a good peaceful retirement.

The breakfast was gigantic. In the breakfast room there is a freezer with excellent cold cuts. My first impression was that it was a farm shop. But no, it wasn't like that. These cold cuts are for the guests. The nice hosts cut as much of each variety as you want (there was also real Parma ham). We were extremely impressed by this generosity and friendliness and will definitely be back. Many Thanks

I stayed at this hotel last year. Overall, it was okay, for the money you pay, don't expect too much. It doesn't belong to the category of establishments I would rate with 4 or 5 stars. The food is okay. As for the staff, you might be used to a cold attitude, but for me, it was fine. I can't say they were overly friendly or accommodating. The spa center was also okay, nothing special compared to hotels...

Amazing hotel and experience. The spa is beautiful and very clean with great views over the lake. Hotel service was very professional and they were able to cater food for my gluten free & nut allergy requests. Only thing in my opinion that let the room down slightly was the aircon not working, tv was difficult to work and pillows were not great, however still a top stay!!

I would have given this Hotel full 5 stars but unfortunately there are some big flaws which is unacceptable when considering the price of the room/food etc. 1. Constant noice from a speaker playing animal sounds right outside the window. 2. Tech in the rooms are broken and the tv department is lacking inspite of it being quality products. 3. Good and cheap, empty parking spaces difficult to find or to reach over a high curb. Very cozy breakfast room with a nice selection. I found the mattress in the room a bit soft/ saggy.

A very nice hotel with beautiful grounds and a great restaurant. Very close to the motorway so no time is wasted if your stop is part of a longer journey but still very peaceful. One of the most comfortable beds my wife and I have ever slept in. Strongly recommended!

Beautiful rooms in the new building (did not see the historic section). On a sunny spring morning, quiet and peaceful, great to relax!

What a beautiful hotel! Our room was absolutely picturesque, and the hotel grounds were breathtaking. A really interesting combination of old German charm with a modern flare. We ate in the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner and both meals were great. If I’m ever in the area again I will consider Gut Kump a must stay location.

Hotel and dining room are definitely to be recommended. The hotel is very modern, there is a terrace for each room with a view of the open meadow. The bathrooms are modern and comfortable. The dining room has good food at reasonable prices. I will definitely come back when the opportunity arises.

A wonderfull new hotel at a magnificent location in the hills near Neuenrade. The rooms are (very clean) quiet and luxurious. The hotel is run by a very friendly family/staff. In short a great place to stay!

Great Rooms designed with some african decoration and so is the hole Hotel. I was fascinated by it. The only bad thing is that there was no cleaning service for my room , since i stayed for two nights i needed a change of towel unfortunately that service wasn t provided . Otherwise i had a great experience

The hotel is quite central in town, but inside it's very quiet. Staff was nice and helped us check in although we were actually too early. We were received very nicely and had a nice seating area. The quality of the products used was great, but the courses were rather uninspired. I would have hoped for a taste adventure rather than plain comfort food. Overall a pleasant evening, but I wouldn’t come again.

Excellent location, functional rooms and a great breakfast buffet (at their main house which is 5 min walking distance) that offers so many options - don’t miss out! I was with my family last weekend for just 1 night and it was very pleasant, I have nothing to complain about. It is a hotel away from the center, modern and comfortable. We didn't arrive in time for dinner at the restaurant but it would certainly be an option. The room was clean, good supply of soap, towels and toilet paper. In the wardrobe were the slippers and plastic bags. Good cost-benefit.

Staff were really genuine and happy to help. Special atmosphere to the place - not just an upmarket corporate centre. Swimming pool was lovely.

The hotel staff were all very welcoming and helpful. We liked the garden and grounds and the hotel decor. The drink and food were of excellent quality. We spent most of the time in the Spa and was well looked after by Emily who was most attentive, helpful, happy and delightful staff member. The massage was fabulous and relaxing. The L'Arivee is one of the few hotels we would happily book again.

What’s treat this hotel and spa turned out to be. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was exceptional. Dinners were the best we had in all of Germany! Le Petit Chef was so fun! The spa was excellent. The Finnish sauna was our favorite. Our son lives in Dortmund and this will be our go to hotel when we visit.

We were touring through Germany and came across the Landgasthof Kleiner, a very pleasant, clean and friendly Hotel in Stockum. The food was good and easy parking outside the Hotel. We managed to fit a it of walking on some of the local trails adjacent to the Hotel as well. Well worth a visit and hopefully we will return again in the future.

A family company with heart and soul. Great rooms and really fabulous cuisine. Unbelievable when you consider that the lady of the house herself cooks everything in the kitchen for several guests at the same time.

We booked here spontaneously for a night in a weekend (with a-year-old baby). Especially the kitchen (chef is mother of the owner's family) was fantastic. Kid's meal request was perfectly interpretated, shared sermon dish as a starter was beautifully separated into two at the dinner without asking, and the special cake on the Easter and homemade bread at the breakfast buffet were specially delicious...

My room 204 has not enough light when dark outside. An additional artificial light at the entrance or been switched at the entrance would be helpfull. As well as in the bathroom...

The hotel premises and the staff are great, but the room is too basic

Seems to be quite run down - rooms are OK, but lack ventilation / AC. Sticky bed lamp switches & surfaces, bed sheets are not super clean either. The only good thing is breakfast - but only in comparison with the hotel itself.

We stayed 3 nights over a weekend in April in this very nice small hotel. We had a large room in the new building next to the old hosue with the restaurant. The interior including the bathroom was very modern and worked very well. Very little noise from other guests or from the traffic. Breakfast was traditionally German, fresh and delicious.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich, das Zimmer modern und sauber und sehr schön eingerichtet. Das Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche offen.

The building was big and open, outside is a nice walking route behind the carpark, free car park was a great touch, bakery & restaurant down stairs in the main part off the building

This gem of a place is located in the outskirts of Dortmund. The quality of food is very good with lots of Vegetarian options and salads. Their breads are awesome 👌
