This hotel is very beautiful, but food is very limited with little variety. The breakfast was just different types of granola, eggs, lunch meat, and rolls! No toast or pastries which was very odd. The restaurant at night offers salads, fish, and chicken all with risotto which was also bizarre since most German food comes with potatoes. Besides lacking in food choices, this hotel has tons of stairs...

Will do for one night stay. Nice hotel in the middle of nowhere. Friendly staff. Room basic, no doors to the bathroom.... No WiFi in the room. Hot breakfast rather limited.

It was one night stay doing long drive through the europe, but we liked and will go next time for longer. Big and tidy rooms , wonderful stuff. Wonderful countryside views. Positive

Very friendly staff, they did everything to make our stay memorable. We travelled with two dogs, and they were really kind to them too. Excellent food in the restaurant that really exceeded our expectations. Vegetarian and even vegan options, which is not a given in Germany. Beautiful location in a little village surrounded by hills and forests. In summary: highly recommended!

A sweet little hotel in an old style German building from the 19th century. Lovely refurbishment, and a very comfortable stay. The owners and housekeeping staff are very friendly and ready to help. I had a great time staying here and looking forward to booking my next stay here on my next trip to the Sauerland region.

The breakfast was gigantic. In the breakfast room there is a freezer with excellent cold cuts. My first impression was that it was a farm shop. But no, it wasn't like that. These cold cuts are for the guests. The nice hosts cut as much of each variety as you want (there was also real Parma ham). We were extremely impressed by this generosity and friendliness and will definitely be back. Many Thanks

Excellent stay at Hotel Palatino! The host and hostess were incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home. The food was delicious. :) My room was spacious and comfortable, and the location is perfect! It is right near a beautiful lake in a wonderfully quiet and peaceful area. It’s the ideal spot to relax. I recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in Sundern!

Excellent value hotel with stunning south facing views of the lake 👍 the owners are hands on hosts preparing a good breakfast and offering Thai cooking in the restaurant Thursday through to Sunday. I stayed at this hotel last year. Overall, it was okay, for the money you pay, don't expect too much. It doesn't belong to the category of establishments I would rate with 4 or 5 stars. The food is okay. As for the staff, you might be used to a cold attitude, but for me, it was fine. I can't say they were overly friendly or accommodating. The spa center was also okay, nothing special compared to hotels...

Amazing hotel and experience. The spa is beautiful and very clean with great views over the lake. Hotel service was very professional and they were able to cater food for my gluten free & nut allergy requests. Only thing in my opinion that let the room down slightly was the aircon not working, tv was difficult to work and pillows were not great, however still a top stay!!

I would have given this Hotel full 5 stars but unfortunately there are some big flaws which is unacceptable when considering the price of the room/food etc. 1. Constant noice from a speaker playing animal sounds right outside the window. 2. Tech in the rooms are broken and the tv department is lacking inspite of it being quality products. 3. We arrived later than expected, but thanks to a key machine and a PIN we received by email, it wasn't a problem at all. We found this very convenient and it took some of the pressure off us. The room is large and adequately furnished. The bathroom is very clean, although the shower head, which isn't completely clear, could use replacing. The bed was very comfortable, and we had a very restful night...

Good and cheap, empty parking spaces difficult to find or to reach over a high curb. Very cozy breakfast room with a nice selection. I found the mattress in the room a bit soft/ saggy.

A very nice hotel with beautiful grounds and a great restaurant. Very close to the motorway so no time is wasted if your stop is part of a longer journey but still very peaceful. One of the most comfortable beds my wife and I have ever slept in. Strongly recommended!

What a beautiful hotel! Our room was absolutely picturesque, and the hotel grounds were breathtaking. A really interesting combination of old German charm with a modern flare. We ate in the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner and both meals were great. If I’m ever in the area again I will consider Gut Kump a must stay location.

Room are nice, well isolated, and modern, bed is comfortable, and the environment is very calm and pretty. Quick tea and coffee is available in the corridor. The restaurant is also good. The location is a bit far from city, but is not necessarily a negative point for everyone.

Hotel and dining room are definitely to be recommended. The hotel is very modern, there is a terrace for each room with a view of the open meadow. The bathrooms are modern and comfortable. The dining room has good food at reasonable prices. I will definitely come back when the opportunity arises.

A wonderfull new hotel at a magnificent location in the hills near Neuenrade. The rooms are (very clean) quiet and luxurious. The hotel is run by a very friendly family/staff. In short a great place to stay!

A small charming, low price, family run hotel 25 minutes from Dortmund city. The breakfast could have been a little bit more protein filled or cheaper (I missed the bacon and sausages). Big free parking place. Very clean and quiet.

I had a stay for one night. What I found here was a cosy family business, welcoming people, that were kind and patient with me as I didn't speak German. Food is also good, place is quiet, rooms are clean. It's a bit outdated if anything but for me, that is part of It's charm.

The standard room (unfortunately, despite booking early, only this category could be booked for this day of the week) was very plain and showing its age, as was the bathroom. The splash guards and joints in the shower were dark orange and black. The "wellness area" did not deserve this name. Most of the tiles there were very old (70s?), the room was uncomfortable, the steam bath was out of order and...

Great Rooms designed with some african decoration and so is the hole Hotel. I was fascinated by it. The only bad thing is that there was no cleaning service for my room , since i stayed for two nights i needed a change of towel unfortunately that service wasn t provided . Otherwise i had a great experience

Nice rooms with bathrooms. Air conditioning will probably be missing in the summer. Unfortunately, as is the case in many hotels these days, the bar and reception close at 10 p.m. Breakfast was also perfectly fine.

Great value for money. They have multiple locations all in close proximity. We stayed at Gasthof 1820. Excellent location, functional rooms and a great breakfast buffet (at their main house which is 5 min walking distance) that offers so many options - don’t miss out! If you are lucky you even find parking right in front of the house. The Landsberger Hof offers free parking, too which is a great plus...

I stayed there over 1 night as a stop during a roadtrip. The hotel served its purpose well and I had no issues. The rooms are super tiny but mine was clean and very correct - though little space for your stuff. There is also a free parking for your car, if I remember correctly - appreciated. A few restaurants withing 15min walking area too if you need them, nothing to sightsee nearby.

I was with my family last weekend for just 1 night and it was very pleasant, I have nothing to complain about. It is a hotel away from the center, modern and comfortable. We didn't arrive in time for dinner at the restaurant but it would certainly be an option. The room was clean, good supply of soap, towels and toilet paper. In the wardrobe were the slippers and plastic bags. Good cost-benefit.

The hotel itself is perfectly fine, the room was spacious and luxurious. The wellness area and saunas were clean and very tidy. The staff in the bar and wellness center were friendly and helpful. However, I have a complaint regarding the "emperor" at the reception. His behavior is like he conquered this hotel.

We were touring through Germany and came across the Landgasthof Kleiner, a very pleasant, clean and friendly Hotel in Stockum. The food was good and easy parking outside the Hotel. We managed to fit a it of walking on some of the local trails adjacent to the Hotel as well. Well worth a visit and hopefully we will return again in the future.

A family company with heart and soul. Great rooms and really fabulous cuisine. Unbelievable when you consider that the lady of the house herself cooks everything in the kitchen for several guests at the same time.

We booked here spontaneously for a night in a weekend (with a-year-old baby). Especially the kitchen (chef is mother of the owner's family) was fantastic. Kid's meal request was perfectly interpretated, shared sermon dish as a starter was beautifully separated into two at the dinner without asking, and the special cake on the Easter and homemade bread at the breakfast buffet were specially delicious...

The hotel premises and the staff are great, but the room is too basic

Seems to be quite run down - rooms are OK, but lack ventilation / AC. Sticky bed lamp switches & surfaces, bed sheets are not super clean either. The only good thing is breakfast - but only in comparison with the hotel itself.

Definitely one of the best place in town for specially occasion. I have been there with my parents, the food is amazing, the owner(chef) came out and have conversation at the table. The service is excellent, the waiter was very helpful and assisted me from removing jacket, adjust the seat to preparing food or remove bone at the table. The atmosphere is very neat, very German. lol

Beautiful place, just you need be local or have a car, very typical German delicious food well executed. The areas are not really clear we have to walk through the parking and members of security give priority a car over three years old kid, so be aware. I think the party area could be better organise and members of staff are be more professional not playing in customers area, a mean from other side...

We stayed 3 nights over a weekend in April in this very nice small hotel. We had a large room in the new building next to the old hosue with the restaurant. The interior including the bathroom was very modern and worked very well. Very little noise from other guests or from the traffic. Breakfast was traditionally German, fresh and delicious.

Great place to stay in the centre of a quiet town. free parking located in a safe area, clean and spacious rooms with free internet. advice: phone the hotel and ask for the entry code to get your key from a box next to the main entrance if you plan to arrive late, it is different from the PIN you get when you book.
