Great staff, great amenities, they really helped us out after we risked it all on a package of expired sauerkraut with ham from the penny discount. We really did a number on that room. Sorry about the flowerbed. Great staff.

My friend and I had a wonderful stay here. The bathrooms and rooms were spotless and nice, much better than we got at similar rates in other guest houses I the region. The amenities were top notch and the staff very helpful through our stay when we came down sick and had to extend our stay a few nights they did everything they could to make us comfortable.

I felt very comfortable here! Room clean - staff super nice. Slept great.... And for 6€ (yes!, 6€!) we got roast pork with dumplings and a starter for dinner!!

Die angebotene Auswahl beim Frühstück war von guter Qualität. Beim Müsli und beim Brot hätte ich mir aber noch mehr Variationen gewünscht.

A very friendly boss, rooms with very good mattresses and clean. Food was okay and breakfast was very good. A small note is allowed, unfortunately the staff did not have their masks on properly. The nose was always clear.

Essen kommt schnell und ein sehr netter Service. Alles schmeckt sehr lecker und ist 100% Selbstgemacht. Die drinks sind auch gut aber ein bisschen zu normal. Ist sehr empfehlenswert.

The initial response to our table reservation was rather unfriendly. The food itself is very tasty, but changing a side dish costs an extra €2 (!!). Even a second helping of cranberries (it was just a small dollop on the dish) was charged at an additional €2 (!). We went to the Golden Anchor for dinner as a family. We had made a reservation and received a very warm welcome. All four dishes were attractively presented and delicious. The price-performance ratio was absolutely fine. The service was attentive and friendly. We would gladly return.

A completely unexpected find in Bad Elster. A restaurant with excellent German cuisine, adapted to the season. The kitchen uses very fresh ingredients; even the side salads were of superb quality. Fast and very attentive service. We'll gladly return.

Excellent classic cuisine (asparagus, veal schnitzel, pike-perch fillet), prompt service, white tablecloths, cloth napkins – we once again felt completely at ease enjoying a delicious lunch at the Golden Anchor. And all this at a truly fair price-performance ratio. Tip: Be sure to make a reservation on weekends and holidays, as it's very popular.

We only stayed at the restaurant which is serving good local cuisine. All dishes were fresh and tasty. We especially like the large cauliflower with potatoes and sauce hollandaise. Service was friendly but could be more efficient. Also all tables were reserved though not always occupied. In the summer they also have a nice terrace.

Food in this establishment is tasty and deserves 5 stars. But the service is surly and rude. No concept of customer first. Beware, all tables are forever marked reserved despite the place being half empty. They could do with staff training. And then this will be the place to go.

Sehr schönes Hotel in ruhiger Lage. Moderne, großzügige Zimmer. Spielzimmer für die Kleinen und Freizeit raum mit Tischtennisplatte für die Größeren /Großen. Kostenlose Saunanutzung ist top. Frühstück war sehr lecker und ausgewogen. Abendessen war auch sehr schmackhaft.

Very friendly staff. We had a large spacious room for 2 adults and 1 child. The food was varied and there was also enough for our daughter. We used the bowling alley. The sauna was heated up just for us on request. There you could possibly make everything a little more comfortable. There are enough possibilities for excursions. Consistently positive

Very friendly staff, good food and home brewn beer. Situated in beautiful area with lots of hiking and cycling opportunities. A good place to spend a family holiday.

During the COVIT-19 time the hotel was still a nice place to stay. The room had comfortable beds and a large and clean bathroom. In the room was still a TV for watching. I paid for breakfast but it was not available.

Nice location for a birthday party including bowling. Really good severing and jummy food. Even games for kids were available.

Hübsches, kleines Hotel, zentrale Lage... Nur das Schlüsselproblem war nicht auf Anhieb zu lösen. Hintertür klemmt, Telefonanruf erfolglos... Geduld war gefragt. Sonst perfekt. Komme gerne wieder.

The hotel impresses with its location in the middle of Schneeberg and you can hear the tower clock. Very nice is the bakery and drinks for self-sufficiency at a reasonable price. Very nice hotel. Its great locetated. Its in the center of Schneeberg of the opposite of the restaurant Rathskeller. But hotel has his own restaurant as well. Breakfast is included with a good offer to eat. I got satisfied. The service was friendly as well. The rooms are very comfortable and cozy. Each room has his own bathroom with shower.
