The hostel is easy to get to. There are some unsavoury characters hanging around the neighbourhood but not directly outside the hostel. Facilities were ok, but the dorms really need privacy curtains. There were also dishes regularly left in the kitchen sink. Staff were great. However, some sorta social events should be organised as there was no atmosphere.

I booked here again and I find this time quite good.

The location of the hostel is very good, easy to walk in all directions. There is a private toilet and shower per room. The kitchen is open, meaning everyone can use it. It's a very good price. I found the place clean. There is internet and a socket near the bed.

I stayed here for a week in a one bed room with a private bath. The place is clean, has a kitchen and is situated in a great location, close to the river and the main train station. The staff is friendly (big thanks to the handsome guy who helped us with our laundry). The only disadvantage was the cooktop which didn’t really work. But I’ll definitely recommend it to my friends.

Just adding onto my review from November 2021 after staying for a duration of times a couple times in May 2022. Townside has pretty much everything a traveller needs, and the location is great. The staff are friendly and accommodating (big shoutout to Darleen). Gets a little hot on the top floor.

Amazing hostel, the girl at the reception has amazing vibes and is super welcoming and friendly (red hair blue eyes), very clean, quiet and well located. Perfect hostel in my eyes ! And cheap !!

We were for the second Time in the Townside Hostel and found it - apart from the many steep stairs :-) - great again. The location is very favorable for the district, the city and the festival, the people take care of their guests, the rooms are nice and specially the room with the bed-loft has our children very excited.

Just the minimum requirements met. Staff varies between some good and helpful people and some other more rude and less willing to help. Breakfast is fine for the price ($5,50 including caprese and boiled eggs, besides traditional stuff). Location is not bad but also not good. It's NOT in the city center.

Clean and efficient hostel, well located in the viertel. The staff were friendly and helpful and material on Bremen was provided to help you plan your stay. The showers were extremely clean and each bed came with a free locker. Great value for money overall

Great service, clean and close to center of town. Breakfast costs a bit but is tasty. You can rent a guitar.. never seen that before.
