Hotel in Karpathos Town

It’s a must if you are visiting Karpathos. Highly recommended!

AvraHostel Rooms is simple and low budget = a reasonable price for summer conditions in Karpathos. Fine for a short stay.

Very nice welcome and good communication with our friendly host Giorgos (George) who conveniently runs a small coffee bar with mini snack bar downstairs. The property is close to everything, you can easily walk everywhere.

Our room was clean, big enough and cheered up by the nicely ornamented terrazzo floor. Good beds with bright reading lights. Sufficient storage space for a short stay, lots of hanging hooks. Mini fridge and electric kettle with cups. Convenient: sink in the room.
The bathroom was down the hall but it was only for us and the shower worked well with really hot water.
No fixed air conditioning, but Giorgos had kindly put a portable air conditioner (if you are noise sensitive, it might seem a bit loud) in our room due to the excessive heat. The window was ajar because of the hose oo the aircondition ... so we could hear traffic from outside, as our room faced the courtyard on the street side.

On booking(.)com I complained that the sink in the room didn't have hot water - according to his comment (below here), the host wants to check that.

I didn't stay at the hotel but they have a small coffee place on the ground floor and I can confidently say that it's THE best coffee you'll find on the island! I love Greece for many things, freddo cappuccino being one of them, and here it's just perfect.

Perfect spotlessly clean budget rooms. Very central location close to the ferry.
Service was faultless.
