Where to stay with pets in Makriyialos

A lovely hotel, recently refurbished, with two pools and right next to the beach. The latter is sandy/pebbly but with beach shoes is fine. The sea bed is round rocks and the water crystal clear so great snorkeling

We were traveling at the very end of their season but the service was like it was their first, still so warm and friendly. Very few people yet full pools, beach chairs, and sumptuous breakfast buffet

We wished we booked two nights

Every type of egg was available, boiled, fried, scrambled and roulade with continental style meats, cheese and salad. No toaster, but fresh rolls and baguettes. Disappointed that there was never a soup option

Desserts were limited to one type together with fresh fruit. We were all inclusive but when it came to the drinks then came the big disappointment, the only spirit was ouzo or raki, local beer and wines

Cozy, central location but far enough away from the overly beaten path, authentic, good breakfast, super friendly employees, hide-away place.

we have been there in 2016 and 2017. perfect combination of ecology and holidays. warning: this is not for the luxory freaks. no pool, no electricity in the rooms, no full service slaves

They offer organic self-made breakfast, products, cool cottages with authentic details (petroleum lamps for example) and the most amazing windy views. Be prepared to take many steps and reconnect with nature to the bone

if you need this, better choose the "white river cottages" in the neighborhood. you get helpfull staff, lovely people and - if you feed them - lots of cats. we are on our way to spend another week at aspros potamos

The cats are charming but don't let them into your suite. Go for a long hike to see the gorge or visit Myrto's shop back in town
