Hotel Democritus in Komotini

Great staff, great location
Dirty and unmaintened room (especially bathroom, with cracked shower and mouldy shower curtains)
If maintained, this could make a great accomodation. Otherwise, stay away coz it's not even cheap for what it offers.
Also, a bit noisy (thin walls)

The hotel is very central but the rooms are very old and basic. The mattress and pillow were very uncomfortable and couldn’t sleep well. I didn’t understand how this hotel received 3 stars. I stayed in many hotels around the world but that was one of the worst beds I had. I think the hotel is due to renovation.

We spent one night, after 7 hours driving.
Staff is proffesional and friendly.
Stay away from room 303, mattres is a mees,also bathroom is a night mare.

They are down town so you are lucky if you find a parking place.
Verry good windows,perfect insonorisation.
They have horrible bathroom,as you can see in our pictures.

Every comments i have read about hotels in Europe, 4 stars, arent 4 stars any more as i see, purposely lacking of stuff to work!! And i bet salary is low too as everywhere. My question is: when we gona start to behave normal when money comes to question¿?????????????????¿ Why we abuse each other in every possible way its allowed¿?????????????¿ Isnt enough money for owner his own profit? Why always underpaying and lack of workers? Why you abuse your own workers? What u get from that, you already have tons of money? 100 or 200 thousands wont help you buy new hotel!!! And that is money from workers!! How long general society will deny facts that influence their life in a bad way? How low together we have to fall to start change? Hungry? Without roof? Drink dirty water? Wake up society if u really belive in God, but i doubt you do.
