Anaxos Garden in Anaxos

Just got back from another fantastic holiday at Anaxos gardens ,Yota and her husband Dimitri are just amazing and can’t do enough to help in every way possible,people moan about no water ,no shower curtain up and toilet paper in the bin but honestly it’s Greece and such a beautiful unspoiled island definitely worth a visit

Recently had a lovely weeks stay at Anaxos Gardens. Family of 4 (children 7&9years). Our first time to Lesvos but we’ve been to a number of Greek islands before. The accommodation suited us perfectly. We were expecting just one room but we had an apartment with 2 sofa bed type single beds and an additional bedroom with a double bed in. Basic (as we always expect on our self-catering Greek holidays) but everything we needed in the room. Room was kept clean, bins and towels changed regularly. The only thing that was missing was a tea towel and a dustpan and brush so we could have swept the patio floor if any food was dropped. Air con was brilliant (I think we paid around €49 for this when we arrived for the week)-I think some of the other apartments have slightly older models of air con that didn’t work as well as ours. The apartments are set out in a few blocks and there are lovely plants and trees around that make the setting beautiful. Pool clean and we always got a sunbed whatever time of day we turned up. Pool bar reasonably priced and serve a lovely gyros for only a few euros! Location is ideal- Supermarkets, plenty of tavernas and beach all a short walk away. The nearby beach is coarse sand, lots of bars and tavernas along the beach that have sun beds you can use if you are buying drinks/food from them. If it’s not cloudy you can sit at one of the tavernas to watch the sunset. All the food and drinks seem just a little cheaper than in the other areas of Greece we have recently visited. We used the street train one day to explore a bit further afield, we also took a pedalo boat out a couple of days which our kids loved. There were a few more water sports available from the stall on the beach as well. There were a few people staying at Anaxos gardens who have been coming repeatedly for years which shows how highly both the apartments and the area are rated by those who visit! We had a great family holiday, feel we struck lucky as it was exactly what we hoped and more!

Clean and sufficient for a budget holiday. Demetri was especially helpful when I had to pester him each time I had a problem. He also does a lovely BBQ on Sundays. Well kept pool. Best thing about the area is the Village Train that picks up outside the Malibu Restaurant and takes you to Petra and Molyvos.

Just got home after a three week stay. This place is great. Rooms are spotless, as is the whole place. Friendly owners and a great BBQ on the Sunday. Short walk to the beach Been there four times now and have already booked three weeks next June! Highly recommended.

This place just gets better every year whether newcomers or re - visitors a warm welcome is assured clean pool fab seating area and food is lovely and drinks a plenty we had a lovely 3 weeks and look forward to our next visit in August 2024 for 3 weeks

A really nice place to stay. Fast Wifi, Pleasant and helpful people running the site. Our studio / room was cleaned regularly (3 times). The swimming pool was nice and clean too.
You can rent the air-con for €5 a day (value for money imo ).

Fabulous friendly hotel and studios. We only booked a week but now wish we booked 2 weeks. We were greeted by Joanne and our studio was clean and tidy..there is a hairdryer..kettle..Iron.. and 2 ring cooking plates. The bathroom was clean with a curtain shower cubicle..the shower was powerful with plenty of hot water though you do have to hold it as you do in many shower rooms in Greece. Yotta (I Hope I spelled her name correctly) was always helpful and served great snacks drinks and cocktails which are reasonably priced. Anaxos beach is a 5 minute walk from the property and sunbeds were free if you purchased a drink and snack. There is a motorised train from the beach that stops at Petra and molyvos and its 9euros return..you can jump on and off in both resorts in 1 day. All the meals in the resort were fabulous and so reasonably priced..we highly recommend the resort and anaxos gardens and have already booked to go again next year we enjoyed it so much.
