Adamas Hotel in Adamas

I would highly suggest AVOIDING this place, firstly no transfer will take you direct to the hotel you get dropped at the bottom of a steep hill and you have to push your luggage up there yourself!! The rooms have clean bedding everyday but under the bed had smashed glass and brown stains all under the bed! The shower is so small and tight you cant move in there. One of the locals told us this hotel has changed its name number of times due to the food being so bad!!... The food was stone cold not edible at all!! The pool was closed being refilled and cleaned (apparently) however when the pool was opened 2 days later all the grime and scum was floating on the top of the pool was vile!! The smell of sewage lingers the hotel and the rooms... the locals are extremely mardy you have a conversation on the balcony and they are threatening you shouting at you!! 17 cats in the carpark alone they rome the area and hotel its feral unhygienic when your sat by the pool and the cats are drinking your drink trying to snatch the food from your plate. Not that you can get a great selection mainly just cake (dry) We had to eat out every single night. I cant praise the staff in the bars and the restaurants we went to they are so polite.

The reception was not staffed when we arrived. A few guests that were already waiting to be checked in told me they already rang the hotel, and they were told by the hotel to wait for the staff member to get ready because they were having a siesta. The staff member that checked us in told us they don’t speak Greek, and their English wasn’t very good. They offered to help with luggage, but asked us to take the bigger because they wanted to take the smaller luggage. We asked if we can have a tea or coffee, and their English wasn’t staff member told us they don’t offer tea or coffee, and we needed to go down to the port, which is about 3 or 4 flights of stairs. We ended up having coffees after a long day out before going back to our hotels to get refreshed, so we don’t have to walk up and down stairs just for coffee. We found the accommodation is basic standard but this is not clearly communicated on their website. The website states they have an Italian restaurant, which is not functioning, and this was confirmed by the Hotel after we checked in. We asked for a packed breakfast on the first morning which was never delivered, and bottles of water on another occasion which never came. They brought us in a kettle and cups with no tea of coffee foodstuffs. We rang them to provide this, but again, this was not done. The shower floor looked rusty, the air conditioner was above our heads, and we could not open windows without the risk of animals coming in. The bed was comfortable. The TV didn’t work. The Hotel fixed, but we can only locate Greek channels.
