Hotel Moonbeam in Potos

Clean, calm and beautiful place. Nice sea view from balcony over olive trees. The price of rooms and apartments is very reasonable. Highly recommend this hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Moonbeam hotel! You feel at home and well looked after by Dimitris and his team. The beautiful swimming pool is big, clean and surrounded by olive trees. The rooms are spacious and with a big balcony overlooking the sea. Generous breakfast on the terrace. Good location to enjoy various gorgeous beaches at short distance.

28july-6aug 2025 We come every year în Pefkari , for scuba diving. It was the only acomodation we have found at the end of july for the mentioned period. We have found decent condițion with very kind and amabile host. Definetly not for pretentious peoples, 3 star hotel, located apx 700 m from the sea, 400m from a Matsoumi supermarket. We will come again and we recomend for the boeme atmosfere.

Hello, i like this hotel, large and very clean rooms… Cleaning and changing towels every day…The staff is friendly and helpful with everything, with the best service.. If you love peace and quiet, this is the place for you... and a large pool to relax in. I recommend this hotel.

Overall impression of staying in this hotel/accommodation is very satisfactory although there are some shortcomings. It should be taken with a grain of salt because we don't all have the same criteria and priorities.
I would start with the negative things, which are few and which can be fixed quite easily: The studio welcomed us with one less bed, the bed was added the same day. There was also no glasses, we asked for it, they brought it the same day. One socket had fallen out, we reported it, it was repaired the same day. There was a TV but not a remote control, in our case it turned out to be a complete hit because the kids played better. The road from the main road to the hotel is not that good, it's not ruined in the sense that there are potholes, but it's dusty macadam and it's not good to walk to the beach. And perhaps the biggest minus refers to the monotonous breakfast every day. It's not bad, but it's pretty uniform. IMO they probably need at least one more person, since there are only two of them in the entire accommodation of 12 units, they barely make it.
Positive impressions: The most positive thing refers to the owner of the hotel and the main employee, Dimitris, the man literally does not stop day and night. Since the accommodation has its own goats, sheep, beehives, rabbits, chickens, olives, fruits, flowers, pool, he visits all of them, takes care, repairs around the hotel, he is a helpful, kind, amazing man. The hotel is located in an olive grove and on a hill, beautiful view and wonderful for sleeping at night, peace, silence, pitch black and stars. We did not turn on the air conditioner even once during our 10-night stay in mid-August. The pools are very neat and clean, constantly cleaned and maintained every day. The studio was clean and well maintained, bed linen and towels were changed regularly.
Conclusion: Although there are negative things mentioned, we still had a great time, enjoyed and rested. The children were overjoyed that in the morning when they woke up in front of the studio (we were on the ground floor) there was a goat, a cat or a rooster, they picked olives, limes, pomegranates. Dimitris, as such a hard-working owner, is really modest, hardworking and helpful, so he contributed to our liking this accommodation. It's not fancy and it's not for people who expect content before vacation, but for nature, rest and peace.

Very good hotel. Dimitri the owner is a professional, very polite, generous. He enjoys to drinking beer and socializing with customers. He plays very good chess.
He speaks English, German, little Russian. Fanatic liberal, and progressive. Dimitri also looks for the woman of his life. I hope to see him married next year. He owns this hotel, 1000 olive trees and 50 sheep. Very good man.

This is one of the best places in Thassos. It’s a perfect balance between being isolated from the tourists and feeling close to the beach.

Very nice place to stay. This place has a beautiful pool, quite place, great view to seaside. The host is very nice and tries to offer best services. Breakfest is very good and consistent. This place is very close to Potos.

First of all, a great greeting for the owner of the hotel, who is an exceptional man, worthy and very good person. The hotel is located above the main road, surrounded by olive trees and beautiful greenery, around the fence of the hotel is everywhere wine vines, as well as on the main terrace, while around the pool there is a mint, rosemary, plums and other colored flowers. All rooms are spacious and large, the bathroom is the same, the warm water is always there. All windows and balcony doors have mosquito nets, on the terraces there are large wooden tables with wooden chairs and large pillows. Bedding and bedding are changed to three or four days. Beds are partially new, showering comfortable. The parking lot is enough for all guests in the shade of olive trees. On the main road below the hotel there is a large market with everything and everything, even with ready-made meals, which we did not try . On the main road there are two beaches that are with pebbles and there are no baths, as detr loves sandy beaches. At 5 min there is Potos, on 10min Limenaria for the evening walk. Please note that the hotel is isolated and to be on the beach and These places must be reached by car (you can reach Potosa too), so if you like to be close to the beach or in the center of a place this accommodation is not for you. All the surrounding beaches are nice and my suggestion is to go around them, bih Notos, Psili amos but also a little further beach Golden Beach and Paradise as well as the place Teologos to try lamb. To get back to the hotel, the pool is excellent, has a part for children, the greenery around the hotel is fascinating, the owner keeps it all with the help of one gentlemen and one gentleman who are constantly on the move and constantly doing something and arranging. The breakfast is a standard couple of shots, kittens, boiled eggs, homemade cheese (eat it every morning), olives, flakes, sour cream, orange deuce, milk, coffee . There is also a honey honey with various buttermilk. The hotel is set so that the terraces are never sunny and you can always enjoy them. The hotel is a bit disappointing to be exceptional and if there was an option that I could become a partner with the owner, I would I would do or buy a plaza next to hahah, but I think it's useless Flexible. Generally, my impression is excellent for the money I paid, bear in mind that I traveled with a woman and a child and that we love being away from the beach in peace and where it is always comfortable to sleep (we did not include the climate anywhere). Keep in mind that we love each day to go to the new beach and spend the night in a walk in different places.
