Owner and location are great, but rooms are very dirty and bathroom is smelly with hole in middle of shower. If you are staying, bring your own pillow

We stayed here for one night. The experience with the guest was very nice. Very welcoming staff. Unfortunately there was no air conditioning and it was hard to sleep on a hot summer night. But M2 is close and that was very nice.

It was an okay experience. The room was clean, safe for my dust allergy. The landlord was helpful too. But there's a clear disconnect between the landlord and the receptionist. The later is clearly doing things only for money.. Both I and other guests had problems with him. And the toilet paper was also missing.. It's okay for a one time stay.

That was very nice but we forgot to close the window in wc so there were a lot if water on the floor

The front door seems like entry for a haunted house but inside, its good :) I liked the stone stairs inside

Really nice, cosy place to stay. Free parking on the street, Burger King restaurant 5 minutes of walk from the guesthouse. The only thing that may be disturbing for some people is the railway line nearby this Guesthouse and trains passing there all the night. Except this, everything is okay :)

Good reception, good deal, nice room with some facilities, but difficulties to get clean towels.. ideal position in the city, messy in the sharing bathrooms.

Good value only if you have a good deal on a room. For the basic rate it is expensive. Decent rooms, messy communal shower and the reception is not to good. They mixed up our room, our new room had no airco. In dutch we would say 'vergane glorie'

We loved it, it is next to everything, in the center, easy communication, the receptionist was very nice and helped us with everything. In the room it is very warm. We will be back!

Cheap, very close to the nightclubs area and public transportation, recommended for a cheap and easy visit of Budapest. The old receptionist guy was drunk, and the rooms are really ugly though.

Excellent location - metro, bus and tram stops right outside the hotel entrance, and Keleti train station is also a 10-minute walk away. The pillow in the room was very thin, but the receptionist gave me a second, better one. The automatic air conditioning system makes some noise at night, but by the second day I got used to it and it wasn't a problem. The only toiletries available were liquid soap...

This was absolutely amazing experience. I’ve got a free room upgrade, it was incredible. The hotel room cleanliness was extraordinary, super clean and finally I had a great night sleep. The mattress is extra firm and super comfy, keep your spine nice and straight. I really enjoyed my stay here. Another great thing about the location is the location.

I had a great time. Its a good room for the price that you paid. The location is really its near the New York Cafe like 1 min away. I love that is has Lidl near it its so easy to get everything you need. They don’t have soap or shampoo or anything so bring your own.

Nice hotel but everything is kinda old. Can say it’s not a hotel but a private flat that was split into a couple of rooms with only one having private bath. Good restaurants nearby and a lot to see

It was a very cozy place to stay. Quite a majestic room we had. Very convenient and accessible to public transport and some tourist spots. Mr. Imre was very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely book it again when we come back to Budapest!

Great location if you leave the guest house going right or left their a supermarket & metro lines so it’s pretty easy to get around Budapest. Their a laundry mat right across the street from guesthouse if you need to wash clothes.

The hotel environment is fantastic, like visiting a late 19th-century museum. I absolutely loved the design and look forward to staying here again on my next trip! The location is superb; all major attractions are within walking distance, and there are bus stops and subway stations just a 3-minute walk away. It's truly a quiet and beautiful place to stay!

This is a fantastic little hotel, a bit hard to find, but once you get inside, it's amazing! Although the facilities are a bit old, it's great value for money. I hope everyone can stay here, as the location is also excellent.

Went in December with a friend. Location is great, like 20 min walk from some great pubs and clubs. The room is nicely decorated and felt clean. Location also felt safe. The man who owns it’s is lovely, meets your at the entrance and shows your straight to the room. Would recommend

If you are not looking for a comfortable hotel room then I can recommend a stay here. In the 8th floor ~6 rooms are available here. The location is good. Not direct in the centre but therefore you don't see tourist all the time

Honestly don’t understand any bad reviews about this place. We stayed here for two nights and had the best time. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was sufficient and very yummy. The location was quiet and still very easy and walkable to the nearest sights. The people at the front desk were super nice and also let us check out later. Will be coming again for sure!

A clean accommodation option in a great location. Plenty of bars and places to eat within a short walk. The rooms was well-equipped and the shower excellent. The reception team was friendly and helpful and I liked the non-fussy but substantial enough breakfast with good coffee. A 15 minute walk to the stop for the Airport Express bus and plenty of public transport options nearby

Good accomodation near the Center of Budapest. Pros: Great location, friendly staff, comfortable cozy room, good bed, music TV channels, beautiful terrace in the dining room. Cons: Night noise from the street, poor breakfast, uncomfortable pillows.

I stayed here for 8 nights and I would recommend Abel Pension to any traveler. Nice hotel, good location near the airport.

The room has a kettle, tea/coffee bags, and a refrigerator. The bed linens are spotless. The location is convenient for early morning airport arrivals. The front desk is open 24 hours.
