Where to stay in Villany

When you walk into the hotel, you're greater with the scent of essential oils, it relaxes you. Service is excellent My room was cosy, spacious and clean. Wine guide books available for sale at the bar.

The hotel is located in the perfect location for anyone looking to explore Villány and enjoy the wine. The rooms, restaurant and spa are first rate, with staff that went above and beyond to make our stay with them all the better. We will definitely be visiting again soon.

I had the immense pleasure of visiting Crocus Gere Wine Hotel this autumn. As a solo traveller, I was a bit worried that I would be out of place, but that was quickly put to rest. We had a 3 nights stay at the Crocus and took one of their corner suites on the first floor. It offers ample space and overlookes the inner courtyard and the adjacent vineyard. Beautiful, charming building and room! They kept the old wine cellar feel, materials and style! A very rare find! We had the suite, which had a living area, a rooftop terrace and huge bathroom. Coffee maker, tv, hair dryer, air con and fridge filled with fairly priced drinks in the room. Good wifi! Breakfast was lovely! There is free parking and a playground. The biggest advantage is that it is almost in the center. It has its own parking lot (although we didn't use it), it is easy to find. Our room had raw wood furniture, it is cozy. There is air conditioning everywhere, in this heat of the year it was very useful, the attic room was also very pleasant. The whole house is clean and tidy. There is no permanent reception, but this is not a problem at all...

I spent one night here. Nice, friendly host. Close to the wine cellars (150-200 m). Clean, friendly room (not too big). The bathroom is also adequate (also quite small, but clean), equipped with a shower. Perfect for a wine trip.

Its not quite so good maybe a one timer. I would not recommend. Its way overpriced the oil on the table was from '99 menu is poor. I would rather choose Mandula (its next doors)

Excellent hotel in the heart of the wine region. Stylish rooms, very comfortable beds, expensive textiles. We were pleased with antique furniture and history of building. The rooms have everything you need. Very beautiful area with a large swimming pool. We enjoyed lying by the pool and admiring the gorgeous rose garden. A very cosy and nice place only 15 minutes walk from Villany train station. Our place had everything we could possibly wish for: a kitchen with all the necessary appliances, a pot and a coffee machine, a toaster. The king size bed was really comfortable to sleep on and the bath robes added the feeling of home. Amazing experience in the wine kingdom, highly recommend it!

The house is located not far from the train station. To take public transportation from Budapest you have to go to Pécs and change to the train station Villány. The trains are comfortable and run on time. The house itself is the oldest in the city with a rich history. Cosy rooms in a 100 years house. Quiet location but very close to the heart of Villány, to the wine cellars, restaurants. The rooms, kitchen are well equipped and comfortable, you can also rest in the huge nice garden. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was delicious. For geeks: wifi is available :) We will definitely come back!
