Had a really nice stay here! Well located in Vik and the breakfast is awesome.

The hotel was easy to find and had a large, convenient parking lot. The steak at dinner was delicious. Next to the hotel, there's a sweater specialty store with a good selection and reasonable prices, perfect for souvenirs.

Nice hotel on the main route into Vik. Hotel staff were very attentive and set up a child’s bed in the room in advance of arrival. Plenty of parking, self service gas station across the road and several restaurants nearby.

affordable, staff very helpful an walking distance to everything in Vik. Would stay again. Free parking. Useful TV screen in lobby with weather/traffic reports to help you plan your day. hubby checked out the bar said it was great and staff were fantastic there also. Room was clean and basic as expected. no complaints

Overall great room when we needed a place last minute when weather prohibited us from moving forward. Clean, spacious, nice restroom, and great views no matter what side of the hall you are on. Good breakfast, and late checkout at noon.

I stayed here one night. The room was very good. Breakfast was a very big buffet. Staff was very friendly and helpful. What I like the most was the bathroom. A very good shower.

The services are good, but facilities are old. Good location to have a view.

This hotel is in a good location just off the highway but way overpriced for what you get compared to even other icelandic hotels of which i stayed in 5 others. The breakfast was a hot mess in terms of seating as there are a lot of tour buses and they reserve 90% of the tables for them. You are left with 5 or 6 tables with people just standing there waiting for you to leave. Overall for south Iceland...

Hotel near the vik black sand beach, and puff view point(20mins drive), thumbs up for breakfast. The best one we had eaten during iceland trip.

rooms and bathroom are small but comfortable. If lucky you can see the Northern light from the room. Great breakfast!

Breakfast was delicious! If you're too lazy to go into town in the evening, the hotel's paid buffet is also quite good. Both the taste and value for money are excellent! I even saw the Northern Lights when I went down for breakfast in the morning!

Very nice, cozy, and good breakfast buffet! 10/10 RECOMMEND!

Decent place overall. Hotel was located alongside the main road and easily accessible. Check in process was relatively smooth. Room was visibly clean, beds were comfortable and blackout curtains and radiator were effective. Breakfast was slightly disappointing as it was mostly a cold continental one with no hot food options. The appearance of a rainbow in the morning added a nice touch to the stay

Extreme tiny room and bathroom, no view, difficult to move around and even to put the suitcase. Bedding is uncomfortable and bad pillows.

Hrund went out of her way to make us feel welcome and to provide everything we could possibly want for a comfortable stay. She gave us suggestions for places to visit in the area and on the next leg of our ring road trip, told us about the history of the house, and brought us traditional Icelandic food and drink to try. The room/bathroom were spotless, quiet and warm and we would happily stay there...

Fantastic overnight stay in Vik. Hrund, the owner, gave us useful tips on what sights to see in the town and surrounding area. The room itself is spacious with a toaster, coffee maker and kettle. Beds were very comfortable and good breakfast in the morning. Parking is free right outside the house. Will gladly stay again if passing through Vik. Thank you :)

We stayed in the hotel portion of the building. Very clean and nice sized rooms. Comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. Good breakfast, too. And it's only a short walk from the restaurant downtown.

Room was large, newly renovated it seems. Great bathroom with big shower. Had everything we needed. Only downside was that the room smelled damp. Reception was great and super helpful, both the receptionists we encountered. Breakfast was perfect for our needs, loved the added touch of the waffles, have missed Nordic waffles. Great location, close to the beach and Smidjan Brygghus. Would stay again

Room is simple, clean and comfortable. Just a little small. Location is easy to find and near restaurants and various attractions. Breakfast is simple but save us the trouble of finding food elsewhere as there are not many selections for breakfast. Plenty of parking spots

Nice little place to spend the night at a great spot having said that rooms are quite old and had no amenities. Would definitely go back while driving through the ring road.

Good location, easy access . found a delicious crepe near guest house

Lovely house and apartment with a nice sea view. I enjoyed the peaceful night here and would like to visit again.

Excellent, fantastic value for money, and a beautiful property.

The location is very good for traveling but the shared facilities is not good . It was smell in the bathroom and very crowded in the pantry. However, the room is good for resting abd outside view is nice .

A very convenient accommodation in Vik Town, a comfy location and very experienced host. Clean toilet is important !

The room was spacious and clean, and you had to wear shoe covers to enter. Inside, everyone was wearing indoor slippers. I was initially worried about the shared bathroom, but it was very clean and large in person. The stay was very comfortable. Highly recommended.

Clean motel in beautiful area. Unfortunately the only place you can take advantage of the view is the picnic table in the parking lot. Small window in room with no view of much and the room with all the windows and seating that is advertised is only open for breakfast. Too much money for a bed and a bathroom with poor water pressure.

Our room had a very nice view towards the ocean. Comfortable seat and beds. Relatively new furniture. We could make our own coffee and tea in the room. Breakfast was possible (3000 ISK per person) but we did not take that.

The host was wonderful and the location was just amazing. There was even a super friendly dog that greeted us

The hotel facilities are old and simple. The room is small, the bathroom is small, and there is a smell of cow dung all around. The cost performance is not high

In a very remote place, the surrounding scenery is pretty good. The room is not big and there is no place to cook. It is mainly a place to rest.

The room is very nice and I am very satisfied with it. It is time-saving to check in, but you need a check-in password and confirm it in advance.

great rooms. Common places were conducive to meeting other travelers, a plus.

Views were breathtaking. Parking was close and check in was super easy. Loved the private bathroom.

Check-in was very easy. The house is clean, and the surroundings are beautiful.

We stayed here 3 nights during our travel in Iceland. Check-in was easy and very comfy beds. Place is really clean!

Really nice guesthouse if you are on the go. A lot cheaper than the hotels in Vik which are a 5-10 minute drive away

The room was perfectly fine: spacious and with a comfortable mattress. The view from the room wasn't the best (the parking lot and the house were in ruins). The guesthouse has two bathrooms, one of which was usually free. The kitchen and living area were very large, and six people (from three rooms) could easily prepare dinner at the same time without disturbing each other. I would definitely recommend...

The host was so kind, sweet and helpful. The place was clean and cosy. We loved our short stay.

Friendly host who made us pancake mix and home made jelly and spread. The room has a living room attached which has a full kitchen. We went to the nearby super market and cooked ourselves a nice meal.

Overall, I would stay here again. The rooms and shared kitchen were all very clean. There are plenty of things in the kitchen you can use to prepare your own food, as well as make breakfast. The hosts were also incredibly kind and accomodating, even helping with my strange request to help fix my broken watch. Given that Vik is a tiny place, anywhere you would need to get is pretty much within walking...

The owner is an absolutely wonderful woman. Best waffles ever. Clean and comfortable accommodation.

Lovely owner. The house is beautiful, well looked after. Very cosy bedroom. You can cook in the kitchen. The owner makes waffle mix and homemade jams for the guests to enjoy. The only thing was a faulty plug in our bedroom, which was pretty unsafe so we just didn't use it. Would still go back there. Ideal location to go explore the Katla glacier.

We were here for the second time. That should already say enough about this guesthouse, but I would like to go into more detail. It is one of the best guesthouses I have ever been to. The bedroom is big and there is a big, very nicely decorated living room. The kitchen has all you need (dishes, a fridge, spices, cream cheese, tea, sugar, etc). There is also fresh dough, so you can make delicious waffles...

Room and services are very comfortable. Showers and toilet are clean and there are bath foam, shampoo and additional towel in each one. The kitchen is clean and there is a big space with many table where you can have a dish with a beautiful view. There also are coffee, tea, cereal and biscuits that everyone can eat. A lovely guest house less than a mile from the black sand beach. Clean, quiet, and so cozy, not to mention the super friendly farm dogs that came over for a belly scratch!

This stay was the very best stay we had anywhere. Immaculately clean, friendly staff and super comfortable. 10 out of 10 !!!

Brilliant guesthouse, everything is taken care of. Comfortable beds and quiet room, slept really well. Nice bathroom facilities. Great kitchen and seating areas. Had an amazing stay here, Host Begga was so kind and helped us so much during our stay. Place is very clean and organized, showers were very clean, great kitchen with amazing view. Location is right next to black beach. Would stay again!
