The nicest hotel we stayed at in Iceland, and the best toilet paper! Parking lot right across the street (free over the whole island) and centrally located easy to walk to everything in town. Breakfast was also the best we had out of all the hotels we stayed at. Lovely! Would easily come back.

We took a ferry to Westin Island and saw the loneliest houses. The hotel breakfast was great, they even baked pancakes 🧇, and the rooms were clean and tidy. Definitely worth it!

We had to reschedule the day of arrival and that was no problem. Only bad experience was the terrible vanilla scent in the hallway and a clogged drain in the sink in the bathroom. Great view if the windows were cleaned.

I have never stayed in a hostel before this one. I found it clean, and hospitable. The owner Beggi was not there when we needed to check in but was easily reached by phone and there in 2 minutes. He owns 2 business on the island and is quite knowledgeable. Our rooms could be locked with a key, and had a warm heater for cold nights. There are 4 showers with doors that lock from the inside. We had a two beds private room. The room was decent. The shared bathrooms were very clean. They have a small little stove and we were able to cook our dinner. The staffs were very friendly.

Clean, spacious and practical. You are surrounded by more sheep, horses and cattle than people. You do not need to travel anywhere to see the northern lights, just open the front door. I did not cook a full meal but instead bought some prepared meals and heated it in the microwave. There’s also a small fridge to store items. The place was very clean and very close to Seljalandsfoss - a great place to stay if you’re touring the south coast. Staff was also very helpful - I left my earbud on the bed and they kept it for me to pick it up on our way back to Reykjavik x Only complaint is the drain was quite smelly when we got in. Would be great if the staff could air the toilet a bit before the next guest!

Nice hotel which is reasonably close to the airport. Shuttle service (one way) from the hotel to the airport is a bonus. Too bad there's no shuttle from the airport to the hotel. Not sure why. Amazing experience at Bru - we stayed in Jan and the cottage was very well warmed and cleaned. We had problems retrieving the keys but the owner was super kind and fast in helping us get them. All in all amazing place with sick views. Also a must mention that we saw the lights from this place as it was dark enough! Can you believe it?! Insane

The bungalow is situated in the middle of an open field, making it easy to see the Northern Lights. The room size was sufficient for our group, and the kitchen was adequately equipped for cooking. The rooms were clean and ideal for relaxation.

There is an open grassland in front, and you can also see the Seljalandsfoss waterfall in the distance. The environment is very good. The price is typical of Iceland, but it's perfectly satisfactory for a night's stay! You'll need to drive about 3km on an unpaved road, so you may want to consider whether to have a car, especially during the winter. This was a good place for us to crash for a night - however it was quite busy trying to use the kitchen, even later at night. So you have to be up for sharing. Otherwise no issues. The bathrooms were quite wet because so many folks were showering and using them but they were nice overall and we never had to wait long to use them.

The hotel is located in an isolated position in the countryside near the village of hvosollur. There is a restaurant inside with prices in line with Iceland. I didn’t expect much staying in our rustic cabin the countryside. But for what they charge – the cabin really was not in great shape. Lovely campsite open in the winter! Campers do a self-serve check-in on an iPad at the hotel reception where you can also get a coffee or a drink. The hotel is located in a charming paradise, surrounded by breathtaking nature. The homemade bread is excellent, and the breakfast is good and varied. The rooms are spacious and very clean. We were also lucky enough to see the Northern Lights! It’s very quiet, and we slept extremely well.

We stayed in the private apartment for three nights. The location is great for exploring the South Coast. We could have easily stayed here longer as there is so much to see and do within an hour or so of drive. The apartment was roomy and well equipped. We had a full kitchen with a little dishwasher. Overall, it was a good experience. The music playing in the restaurant was also very nice, which put me in a great mood! There were many horses outside the room, and the restaurant was also quite good; it was one of the more decent restaurants I've had in Iceland.

Everything was absolutely wonderful at Welcome Holiday Homes. The place was super clean, warm, and very comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Daily housekeeping kept everything spotless and fresh. The staff were wonderful and very helpful, always friendly and ready to assist. We truly felt welcome and would happily stay here again. The cabins are very nice. A downside, I see is the check-in process. You have to call a phone number and they'll tell you the cabin number and the entry password. Aside from that, the place is actually great!
