The location is fantastic. It's within walking distance to all of the restaurants and shops in town.

They say they have on-site parking but they do not. You have to park on the street. Some of the street parking is short term, so pay attention to the signs.
We called the number listed for this hotel to fund out where we should park and was told we could use the parking lot across the street, which was for a store. The store was already closed so we parked there. We left fairly early in the morning, before the store opened again.

Check your email the day of your check in for the front door code as well as the code to your room. There isn't anyone on site to let you into the building. The front door code took a minute to work and we didn't have any issues after that.

There is no lift, just any FYI for anyone with mobility issues.

The room was clean & cozy. The was hand soap in the bathroom but no shampoo or body wash. We brought our own but just a heads up to anyone staying here.

The property didn't have electricity because apparently they had lost power a few days prior so we had no lighting or wifi for our stay. They promised us a refund and then never responded to our messages. Awful. They didn't bother to tell us when we booked that none of these basic amenities would be available. They also gave us the wrong room code so we couldn't get into our room, which would have been fine, but the hotel is not staffed.

Very great value for the price we paid. Nothing over-the-top, simple clean and comfortable. Nice hot shower and cozy bed. It was the perfect one night stay.

We had to reschedule the day of arrival and that was no problem.
Only bad experience was the terrible vanilla scent in the hallway and a clogged drain in the sink in the bathroom.
Great view if the windows were cleaned.

The room was clean and the self check-in process was simple and convenient. Also the location on the Island was great; close to the shoreline and right in the middle of the town, walking distance from the grocery store and a convenience store as well, and also super close to the ferry dock. It was also super convenient to have the parking right in front of the Inn, but spaces were somewhat limited so I could see it being a potential issue if the Inn is busier.
Overall, our stay was good. Wifi worked very well and the kettle in the room was very handy to have. The shower worked well too and the water was warm. And the Inn itself was very quiet which was nice.

However, the biggest issue we had was that the heating in our room was not working whatsoever (during Icelandic winter)! My friends and I were quite chilly in the room and had to sleep with sweaters on. That being said, the comforters on the beds were decently warm and definitely helped; but without them, we would’ve been very very cold in the room… Additionally there were no staff members present in the Inn at any point during our stay so we weren’t able to ask staff for extra toilet paper/towels or ask them for assistance with getting the heater to work. In all honestly, it was a tad inconvenient to not have any staff on site.
Lastly, although we didn’t expect a kitchen or cooking space per say, it was also a little inconvenient to not have a microwave in the room. So be mindful of how you plan to eat/cook when booking rooms here. We ended up having to use a single burner camping stove outside to cook pasta and had no way or re-heating it…

Overall we were pretty satisfied with our room and our time on the island, however some things, like the heating issues and lack of staff on site, left us a bit displeased.

There is no reception in the hotel. This is my first hotel without reception. Just call to the phone of the hotel.

We took the ferry from Iceland and wanted to stay another night because the island is breathtaking. Unfortunately all the hotels were booked and we were literally about to sleep on the grass 😂 because we didn’t have a place to stay at. We called this hotel and the owner literally woke up at midnight to fit us all (4 of us) into a room she had left. The beds were single beds but she accommodated us as much as she could (gave us pads and extra blankets and towels). She was seriously the best host ever. We appreciated her doing that favor for us so much. The room and shower were so nice. The shower was so relaxing. I could have stayed in there for hours. Super clean! Thanks again for everything! You made our trip to the westmen islands memorable!

Good location, self check-in, walking distance from everything in town. We reserved two nights, stayed one. Only need a day to visit most of the island. We rented bikes and hiked... was worth it - rent a bike!
