Overall we had a good stay here. The room was nice and had superb views from the balcony, the staff was extremely friendly, and breakfast was decent. Our only problem was that the heating in the room was not enough to keep the room warm on a cold March night, so we were a little cold while on the room.

Nice place ... we have been here for a few hours ... since they also allow our 4-legged friends to stay overnight for me it is fantastic.

The restaurant: excellent home cooking with good raw materials. A little too eighties structure, clean rooms on a human scale, the triple attic can be dramatic in living spaces. Services: swimming pool ideal in summer, meeting points for absent children in winter. Location: excellent near the ski lifts in winter and easy to take paths in summer, even close enough to the town center.

We ate very well in a well kept environment. If you are looking for a place to taste typical Abruzzo dishes, this is the place I recommend.

A hotel with rooms from a few years ago and basic service. The breakfast cakes are good, but the savory selection is a bit limited. The relaxation area is pleasant, also equipped with a pool table. Unfortunately, there's often a wait to play, but the service is still good. A good location for reaching Pescasseroli's city center, though parking isn't always easy.

We stayed at Picchio for the second consecutive year. Very beautiful and well-kept place, especially outside with large parks and lots of greenery. Super friendly and efficient staff in meeting all customer needs. The food was also excellent and plentiful. It just needs a good modernization especially with regards to the bathrooms and the daily cleaning of the rooms which is not exactly impeccable...

We spent one night and dinner there for a family of 2 adults + 2 small childs for a total of around 250€. They stay there was nice, the room was comfortable, the lobby is with statues of wolfs and bear which was the best game for my child. Food was ok for dinner and breakfast and they organize time for childs with dances and playing areas.

I had a great time, the staff is excellent and qualified, they were all very kind to me, always available. The place was wonderful, out of the monotony, I recommend it for those who want to try this experience in nature, the food was very good and the receptionist, always smiling and kind, welcomed us very warmly.

The structure is surrounded by greenery, the rooms, although small, are comfortable and bright, the hosts are friendly and helpful. Hotel Iris is a nice little hotel that I stayed at as the base for rewilding hikes run by Much Better Adventures out of Pescasseroli in Italy. The shower was good water pressure, the beds comfortable, housekeeping visited the room every day. The restaurant we ate at for most breakfasts and dinner had polite and helpful staff and there was a nice selection of food to choose from. I'd stay there again...

Great location, excellent breakfast , friendly and helpful staff... but rooms in need of soundproofing , you can easily hear everything in the surrounding rooms. Not to mention the wooden headboard which is very uncomfortable for Tv watching.

The place was very calm in October although the walls between the rooms are thin so you can hear your neighbour. The restaurant was close and the breakfast was terribly basic.

We stayed one night in this charming hotel near the center of Pescasseroli and just steps from the slopes. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and clean. The common areas were also warm and welcoming, with recreational facilities for families. The staff was always friendly and available to meet every need. The food was excellent, and the breakfast was varied.

I was on vacation with my family for 3 days and 2 nights. The breakfast was delicious, the room, although small, was cozy with a view overlooking the garden, and the staff were really friendly, including the owner, Davide, who was friendly and super helpful.
