Great hotel! Super clean. Rich breakfast! Very friendly staff! However, you should be careful when booking - the "normal double rooms" only have a French balcony. The room was a decent size and clean; we had a balcony. There's no air conditioning, the TV doesn't work, and there's no mini-fridge. Overall, however, it's a quiet place for those who want to unwind.

Checking in is something different because you do it yourself. If you don't know your way around, you can call and everything will be explained to you. The view is great 😃 The room fits, a curtain should only be installed on the bathtub, as all the water squirts out.

It is half an hour on foot from the center, so for those who love walking there are many pedestrian paths that lead to the center of Merano. 5 minutes from there by car, you will find the cableway that leads to Merano 2000. Booked last minute and received a price around €150 incl breakfast which is excellent value these days. Loved the park, the outside pool, the outside lounge. The inside pool and the rooms are a tad on the older charming side, but this is typical in all of Italy, and especially in castle hotels. We were very happy with our stay.
