Palace Hotel San Michele
Apulia, Monte Sant'Angelo, Via Madonna degli Angeli, 71037 Monte-Sant-Andzhelo, Apuliya, Italiya 🧭 Map
🌞 From seashore 6 km
The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the pool area was lovely, but unfortunately the overall cleanliness and housekeeping really let the hotel down. Our room did not appear to have been thoroughly cleaned for some time. Under the bed we found old medication pills and empty water bottles, and the bottom half of the shower screen was covered in soap scum and clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly...
Nice room - but standard ones are poor Breakfast very crowded and only fair Very iffy and slow WiFi Staff helpful, but limited knowledge of the area. When outdoor pool is closed, indoor one should be free
A good hotel, clean room, nice balcony, parking available. Style rather dated and heavy. Wi-fi very patchy. Dominated by tour groups - breakfast was very noisy and the food was unimpressive. The staff were pleasant but uninformed about the local countryside and flora; no maps available.
On hilltop in beautiful mountain situation. Hotel had very convenient free parking close to front door. Lots of interesting local shops and restaurants, but not cheap. In spring lots of wild orchids near roads a few km west of town. Very pretty mountain drives but roads are fairly narrow and there are plenty of hairpin bends. Also most Italian drivers think they should be driving Ferraris not Fiats...
Great getaway in the mountains! We absolutely loved this hotel! The town is so charming to walk around and the historical sites are beautiful! The breakfast was extensive! Lots of choices.
Stayed here as part of an Inn Travel walking holiday. Location good for visiting the historic town. Beds nice but shower tiny given size of room. Breakfast canteenesk. Charging for use of own pool a bit much. Reason for being four star must be it has a lift.
