Gorgeous resort off the beaten path- felt like a slice of heaven- room was modern, comfortable- stayed on the nonpremium side of resort, but was beautiful with elevator down to private beach with assigned chairs- sea was so lovely. Felt like an amazing way to start our trip in Puglia. Restaurant was very nice for breakfast and dinner- breathtaking views- staff were so nice. Thank you!

One of the best hotels in Italy for price/quality ratio. We stayed here for the first time over 10 years ago. It's clear that the excellent property maintenance and regular renovations have made it better than it was 11 years ago. The entire staff is great!

The property, beach and surroundings are as beautiful as the photos online, so we got what we came for in the sense that we got to relax and log some time on a gorgeous beach to unwind a bit towards the end of our vacation. Great location for a hotel. It’s about 35 mins south of Vieste which a bustling area especially in the summertime. The two beaches available are very beautiful and quiet. They have chairs, umbrellas and a bar at the beach. Two glass elevators transport you down the cliff to the beach access. SUP and kayaks are included and available. What a superb hotel. Beach was amazing and the staff were always incredibly polite and helpful. We were a little bit wary having read some reviews but thought it excellent and wished we had stayed for two nights. We did not hire sun loungers as there was adequate space on the beach and did not eat dinner there. The breakfast was excellent.

We had a great stay at the resort. Really nice pool by the ocean and an elevator down to the ocean. If you book economy room you have to pay 30euro extra for a bed and umbrella by the ocean. The resort is quite big and you need to park pretty far away and then they pick you up with a golf car. We had our rooms pretty far from the ocean but the room up there had its own pool and that was very nice....

May wife and I stayed here in early June, 2025. We stayed Monday to Saturday which was great since the area and the hotel was not overly crowded. The room was a very nice room with a comfortable bed, a small refrigerator and a good bathroom. There was a safe and nice storage for clothes. Return to Mattinata. It was good. Rooms and area lovely. Bed was ok pillows not great. Plenty of olive, citrus and pomegranate trees. A lovely pool.

Fantastic welcome from Matteo who was also very flexible about our booking. He took time to tell us about Mattinata including restaurant recommendations. Hotel is within easy walking distance of the (pebble) beach where you will also find multiple bars and restaurants. The whole place is clean. The ambiance is peaceful and friendly. Very nice place to stay. Nice clean pool with a pool bar. The staff takes care of cleaning quite often. All the staff is very friendly. At the poolbar quite good selection of drinks. One thing would better- to make a choice of snack for a quick lunch toasts and stuff for example.

We've been staying with the lady every time we come to Mattinata for three years now, and we've almost fallen in love with her place. The owner's kindness and helpfulness are second to none. Stunning location, elegant rooms, stylish decor, brilliant chef. This must be one of the very best places to stay in Puglia. Slight note of caution, that it would be best to avoid weekends in May and September when the hotel doubles as a wedding venue. But otherwise it's perfect.

A really small but fairly new room & bathroom. Its location was right in the center of the town which we loved and breakfast could be taken at one of three local cafes, consisting of a coffee and cornetto. Nice and quiet location lose to some good restaurants.

A pleasant overnight stay at Mattinata Apartment was nicely and newly furnished and very central only a few minutes walk from the central area. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast was provided at the coffee shop round the corner.
